Interesting. Don't they have a little higher octane pump fuel over there? I thought it was like 95-96 octane or something.

That fuel line screams e85. It's a garden hose, haha. Greece probably has e85 as an option for pump. Wish I was so lucky.

127 at the end of the quarter is still impressive.

You need lots of corn or sugarcane for E85, and government subsidies to keep it cheap.

Don't think Greece has either of those, but who knows?

Brazil seems to be able to produce e100 very efficient and cost effectively, which they have been doing for the last 40 or so years.

Ethanol can even be made out of switchgrass nowdays, so the prices and availability should change in the future. IMO one of the problems is the US has a lot of plants designed to process corn only which needs to change. And exactly, Brazil is a prime example of what can be done.

The U.S. subsides corn (and other commodities). Hence, this is one of the reasons we don't see better ways of producing ethanol, because corporations makes money from both selling it and a hand out from the government for making it.

Quite tragic really. Greed and corruption rules and the little people pay for everything basically. All while the earth pays for it for us to produce ethanol using a wasteful method of production. I think Brazil is something like 70% more efficient at making Ethanol than the US when you figure in all the fuel used to harvest the crops and make the product etc. Why are we letting other countries be more efficient than the US at production? At the very least we should be copying their methods and having the same production efficiency, bottom line there are just no excuses for whats been going on around this country lol...

Any more 30psi 83/74 graphs coming? Need another February fix, lol.

I agree, also it's a human problem...endless greed with minimum real concern (not everyone, but most) of what happens in the long run. We're doomed as a species.

I just think the givt doesnt consider e85 a real fuel or are taking itcseriously at all. More like just a popsicle to keep the polar bear huggers happy until electric vehichles take over. Plus if e85 were more popular, shale gas and other american petro would become less popular and we need the petro following for plastics and other petro dependant things

More like the petroleum industry doesn't want a renewable resource to take their market share. It's back to human greed.

Only in the U.S. because we are using/subsidizing corn and not sugarcane or others.

No, I read them. I'm familiar with Brazil's use of ethanol and copious sugar cane fields to make it. Corn subsidies are crap thanks to crooked politicians.

Cellulosic (switch grass and other waste product, even algae), still was rather expensive last I looked into the tech (a few years ago).

I'm actually a green fuel nerd. We can also dork it up with biodiesel discussions...but we're WAY off topic.

Been adding up the miles on the BW and so far im really liking its response. Im still keeping it under 4500 for rings but its quick to start spooling and i can tell it wants to let it rip. Ive even seen wastegate 14/15psi before 4k so far which is better than my old .63 50trim

i just picked up a new laptop for tuning. Im going to do a lil logging on my way home. But so far it seems to be running pretty well with the base map i threw at it. Only correction i want to make soon is that its holding ~14afr on long uphill loads where id like it to be mid to upper 12's. I think thats in part that its making more torque now in that area than before. I used to need more throttle which used to lower the AFR

What are the axis of your AFR target table?
