safe made is check engine light on.. Lol Your cruise control should also be flashing meaning its disabled to prevent any unnessecary damage.

As said, check your gas cap. If you had a valet parking, your answer could be right there.. someone drove it last night and then filled it back up.

I picked up a Nameless axle back (with magnaflox muffler) yesterday and bolted it up today. Locks great and I love the sound. I just need to make up a plate to get a better seal at the flanges.

Picked up a STI rear sway bar..cant wait to put it on!

Want some advice from you guys. My next/ last big purchase for this car will be lowering it. I can't make up my mind between a strut/ spring combo or coils. I daily drive this car and I do not plan on slamming it. I like the idea of adjusting the height of the car but I'm not sure how much the handling will change.

My options (open to other ideas too)

konis/ rce springs
or
bc coils

I thought STI rear sway bars dont fit because they use a wider mounting point...??? Right???

Thought it was the fronts that don't fit?

fronts dont fit for sure because of the exhaust layout, but i thought the Rear was only inter-changable with the WRX due to the STI's wider track layout. I may be wrong though.

I understand your questions as I keep going back and forth. But the Koni had not been an option since it is just an insert for stock strut/shock body.

It would either be the Bilstein/RCE springs or BC Coils based on budget I have set. I have read a lot of positive reviews of the BC coils and one local friend has them and her likes then for daily diving, road trips, and autocross. Pretty sure I will be going with the BC BR series Coilovers, personally...

I have the BC coilovers on my 2011 impreza. try are actually pretty good for daily driving and they have the adjustable dampners which are nice

Oh, the other thing about the BC that I like is complete setup. Unbolt and remove stock spring/strut together and bolt in the coilovers. And then you have the stock setup all together if you ever need to reinstall one day...

Do you still want to keep your oem struts then? If so, why don't you get a donor set of struts for the koni inserts? If you can find some donor struts for the right price it can be cheaper than the bilstein setup.Yes it is a little more work, but if you are on a budget it adds up
Not saying bc's or bilsteins are bad or anything because they are both actually pretty good for the price.
@Daigledangle, you just need to outweigh what you want most, since you mentioned you don't really want togo super low, I think either the koni or bilstein setup is the way to go. Bilstein is direct Bolt on, a little more expensive, you cant really adjust the height that I know of, and you may have to wait for ever to get it. Koni's have have freedom to choose springs, adjustable dampening, can be cheaper, usually are available, and they are yellow too! Sorry if I'm a little biased lol

I would like to be in the $1000-$1200 range as spending little more to go with the Whiteline front and rear adjustable sway bars and Whiteline HD endlinks.

You could also save some money by getting rallitek sway bars as well-they are solid tubing not hollow like cheaper brands (whitelines are solid as well), just a word of advice.

Planning on going with bigger sway bars than what RalliTEK offers. I think there's is a great option at a good price, but I want bigger bars and also looking at going 22mm/22mm adjustable for front and rear...

Glad to see you did your research then
I too want a 22mm for the back but it's a little spendy IMO.
