The problem with troubleshooting is, never can tell if it's going to happen or not, and she is in no condition to go through a process everytime she starts the car.. It doesn't seem to happen only after long sits, I know it happened as quickly as 45 minutes after last driving the car.
Does she know to turn it to 'on' and wait 2 sec or so before turning it to 'start'? I only ask because my wife can't process that there is an 'on' position. She starts the engine to roll the window down. It's just a concept that escapes her.

Sounds like you have a lead with the tsb. I'd go with that.

I have learned to wait and let the car prime as well. I have a similar rough starting on my 13 Impreza 2.0 from time to time too. It's seemed to help a little. That, and when it's under 30, I turn all the stuff off before exiting the car. Radio, heated seats, lights, etc. It seems like the crappy factory battery doesn't like power draws upon a cold startup.

Might be trading in my wagon. If so, any local interest in a Yakima Railgrab rack? Complete with posts, poles, fairing, and locks. Couple months old.

Not sure if anyone on here would be interested but I have a Kimber Solo CPD with laser grips. Never fired, brand new in box. Looking for 1300 and I have a buddy that will do the transfer.

I bet you for that $5 router rental fee, you are also paying for the privilege of having your internet statistics (such as how many and what type of different devices you are using, what services you are using, etc) snooped using TR-069 too.

We don't have those temps continuously multiple days in a row like the Carolinas do. But i agree that we do get them it's just we can avoid working on our cars during those shorter stretches of days.

anyone have a junk 06-10 wrx push style pressure plate laying around. I want to do a write up on a potential upgrade for RS-T guys. I have a block, flywheel, spare trans, slave, fork and everything to bolt it all together on the garage floor. And maybe an upper bellhousing bolt

im not sure but you can get remanufactured ones for like $60 each after the $40 core charge. $200 if you don't return your old ones. Those ones aren't painted red tho but I don't care I'm having them powder coated a different color anyway

I'm actually thinking about selling my Subaru. It's an awesome car but it's just not practical anymore.
