![]() And literally nobody will buy one in Canada. Which is why they have to make it cheap as ****.

![]() Pretty much. I don't think this car will sell well up here at this pricing as it's considerably more than the 370Z that nobody up here bought. You will see 3+ M2's for every 370Z up here. Canadians don't like to pay $$$ for non-luxury brands.

![]() I wonder how much it is to add the LSD aftermarket? I added one to a Mitsu DSM for $700 (sure it would be more now) plus labor. If you can swap it for a reasonable price then the base plus the upgrade could make sense as long as the cooling and other drivetrain mechanicals are there.

![]() I think aftermarket diffs for that housing are roughly the same as Subarus, so probably around $1500. Budget for $2500 total. More if you have custom work done to said diff.

![]() There's a ton of options available here, but it looks like you could get one for $1500 ish on the low end.

![]() Interesting discussion about the Z... Apparently the new car might have some issues with being driven hard.

![]() Not sure you all listened to the whole thing. The engine has cooling issues when they tested the preproduction car in the Infinity. He repeated several times the engine in the 400z had NO issues despite them beating on it hard for 3 or so days.

![]() The "issues" discussed were more about invasive safeguards, even with nannies "turned off" while doing "professional driver, closed course" stuff (drifting, rolling burnouts, banging gears, etc.). But the real world implications were discussed, as the vehicle does not react in a manner that would be expected
-kills power mid-slide because you touched the limiter, resulting in an unexpected directional change and/or looping the car due to the short wheelbase -will not allow a brake stand style burnout -ECU pulling power when trying to shift quickly (without flat-foot shift mode turned on) in an attempt to save the clutch -touching the limiter cuts power significantly as apposed to modern stuff that lets you bounce off of it. -ECU won't allow the engine to rev up quickly in neutral when stopped There is more, just listen to it. |

![]() Yeah it looks like Nissan neutered the car to an extent to ensure the engine lasts through the warranty period. He even states that it's not build like a BMW or Porsche to be able to withstand a beating.

![]() Well he's being fair in that he says Nissan didn't have a lot of money to put this together so I think their engineers did the best they could with a limited budget. Hopefully the ECU could be cracked so the nannies could be disabled although that may reduce the life expectancy of the drivetrain. There's a reason this car costs less than the Supra and it's because you get what you pay for.
