Angry My grilfriend's WRX auto tranny is stuck!

She just purchased a Black WRX last Sat. and when she got home from work and parked it, it seems to be stuck somewhere between PARK and Reverse. I think that is correct because the reverse lights are still on but the vehicle doesn't move. So I turn the car off but I hear clicking sounds underneath the car. What the hell is going on.

Can you guys tell me if she can get her money back or get a whole new vehicle? I need input so I can go to the dealership with arm knowledge of what rights my girl has to do with this unfortunate problem.

Sure it's not the parking lights? The switch is on top of the steering column. If not warranty++

Checked that already, the auto shifter is totally stuck. Going to go to the dealership this morning.

Sorry to hear that. I don't have an auto but don't most have a shift lock release somewhere? It's the only thing I can think of without telling you to call roadside assistance.

Thankyou aview2nv, for the info. I checked for a release button and it worked . I am still having the car checked out at the Dealership. Best input I recieved yet. Made my day alot easier.
