The car was fine and knocked in one log, what changed? I just went through all the logs here, I see a couple -1.41 FBK which is nothing to worry about and was noted. If you think -1.41 is going to "damage your engine" please do not modify your vehicle. You'd be suing Subaru if you saw the knock correction on the stock map on 91. I have the logs here if needed, nothing stands out.

And as far as your friend buying the car and not seeing knock correction, that is very possible, you'll find many "tooners" shutting off knock control or desensitizing it enough that you don't see any correction. I'd rather get 1-2 angry posts like this per year than dozens of popped engines like these other tuners.

Not true, we successfully e-tune thousands of cars per year with no issue.

I don't know where the "hit or miss" feedback comes from, I see very minimal negative posts in regards to us. We aren't the FB tuners that many of you are so passionate about and we run our business differently. We have full phone and email support and staffing and do not conduct business on Facebook. Unfortunately due to that, we do not get the support in the FB community groups that you'll see other tuners get. I can assure you however, we are tuning as many or more of these cars than 99% of the tuners out there both in house and remotely.

Lasthuman also tuned with us like 3 or 4 years ago, the maps now are way better defined, we've tuned 2000+ of these FA20 engines at this point.

Knock was WOT which cobb says “If these corrections occur during full boost and wide open throttle it is especially concerning”. I’m just going off what cobb says. Also it was almost anytime I was wot and I even saw fineknock learn up to -4.22 in some of those logs. I never even made a big deal about a refund also. Then you send me a email about blackmailing me, saying you will do this “If that is the case we will have to notify our tuning network in the Golf R community of this transaction and threads”. I was trying to work this out and just move on. Not sure who treats customers like that when they have a disagreement. I was just writing this post as a honest review on my experience. No company is perfect and will have bad reviews but I don’t see why that gives them a reason to lash back out at the customer instead of trying to work it out before this happens.

Cobb says if WOT and above at or around a +/- 1 threshold.

seeing -1.41 is nothing. Shoot I had issue with my revisions as well where 1 revision later i ended up getting knock as high as -5. Long story short, ended up being a bad tank of gas which we remedied with octane booster and just like that the -5 was gone. Bren was more than patient with figuring out the problem.
Fast forward, a good while now, Bren has been the best tuner I have ever dealt with on a customer service and response.

Personally, I don't think wrx.theo understands what knock is especially at the -1.41 level considering the "limited research" put in.

Please do your research before accusing professionals of poor work when you yourself dont know anything about it.
I’m just going off what cobb says on there site there bud lol
