For Sale - 2012 Subaru Impreza STi Hatchback - 85k miles - SOLD
THIS.... is a 2012 Subaru Impreza STi Hatchback in Plasma Blue Pearl is currently for sale on "Not Cars & Bids" and I'm here to tell you about it's quirks and features. (/end Doug Demuro voice).
The car is pretty much bone stock mechanically with only some minor upgrades to the lighting, stereo, and aesthetic features. It is a 3 owner car with 85,118 miles on the odometer and a clean history and title with no accidents or bodywork. The car has lived it's life in the Seattle area and thus has a clean and rust free underbody and structure.
Exterior:
The car has a partial paint protection film package applied to the front bumper, partial hood, mirrors, A-pillars, side skirts, and the front of the rear wheel arches. The side and rear windows are tinted. Diode Dynamics Stage Series Pro LED fog lights in yellow SAE replaced the stock fog lights (original fog lights are in good condition and will be sold with the car). Diode Dynamics LED XPR reverse bulbs have also been installed for 720 lumens of reversing light power. Rallyarmor mudflaps have been installed as shown in the pictures. Paint is in excellent condition.
Interior:
The interior is in excellent condition with all original equipment except for the stereo which has been changed to an Android Auto head unit from Joying Auto ( https://www.joyingauto.com/joying-an...2008-2012.html ). This head unit uses a plug and play harness for installation, so no wiring modifications were needed, thus allowing for the OEM head unit to be reinstalled at any time. The model installed has 8GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage and has a physical volume knob. It supports a reverse camera, which was installed and mounted with VHB tape to the rear hatch above the license plate for a non-destructive installation that does not interfere with access to the hatch release. The head unit supports wireless Android Auto and Apple Car Play. The steering wheel controls all work with the head unit and can be remapped to any function (currently the voice control button is mapped to play/pause, which is very handy since the stock media controls on the wheel don't provide a mute or play/pause button). The head unit also supports wireless TPMS sensors which are replacement tire valve stem caps, which have been installed on the car. The original stereo will be provided with the car as part of the sale.
Car has the factory installed auto-dimming rear view mirror with homelink.
The shift boot and parking brake boots were upgraded with ones from Redline Autogoods in microsuede with matching red stitching that perfectly matches the stock seats and steering wheel. The original boots will be sold with the car.
Cloth and rubber floor mats are included as well as the plastic cargo tray and cargo cover.
Cable Chains to fit the car are included as well.
Additional Parts:
The car also comes with additional parts for maintenance and upgrades, which haven't been installed yet as of the time of sale and are all new in box. These include the following:

Quirks:
This car is the perfect project car for someone who wants to build a high performance STi hatchback as the bones of the car are excellent, however the motor has a spun bearing and will need a rebuild. This was an unfortunate occurrence that happened right before it's scheduled oil change and installation of the additional parts listed above. The additional parts that come with the car will help with the rebuild and are factored into the price.
