![]() It is very easy to trim video clips after they've been uploaded to YouTube.
Why was there no audio? And why was the date constantly pulsating on and off the bottom of the screen? No offence, but that was one damn annoying video. ![]() Last edited by Vancouver98STi; 12-09-2017 at 06:33 PM. |

![]() Being you're the only one complaining, and not explaining how I should fix it, I'll leave it the way it is.

![]() I know that Cobra is not known to be the best name in the business, but what is the opinion on this dual cam setup?
https://www.costco.com/.product.1003..._1208_TireSolo For those that cannot see the price it is $149.99. The reviews are not good, but for the most part I think they are user error problems. -Memory card issue, probably not the right type to use for dash cams -Screen too small to see and focus on your driving (REALLY??) -Tiny Screen, cannot read it without glasses on or magnifier (See above) -Cord to the rear camera is only 12ft long, cannot reach to the back on full size SUV (no issue, it is a car) (there are 2 of these reviews) -Rear Camera not wireless, had to tuck wires behind trim |

![]() The Vantrue X3 seems to be on sale according to Slickdeals - https://slickdeals.net/share/android_app/fp/361883
Thoughts on this dash cam? It would be my first one, and my main purpose would be to catch any movement or damage that may come to my car. Also, why can I not find this thead in the general search for NASIOC? I seem to always have to Google search this thread for it to come up. |

![]() Sorry to resurrect an old thread but it seemed more appropriate than making a new one.
Given the speed of technology innovation, a lot can happen in the four months since this thread was active. Has anything changed significantly? Essentially, I am looking for a dash cam that will do front and rear with only enough resolution needed to make out license plates/cars in the event of an accident (would be open to either a single unit or two-piece unit - the widest coverage is probably ideal), has motion sensors that work reliably (in the event someone hits my car while parked), works reasonably well in low-light situations, features automatic loop recording, and accommodates the larger SDXC cards (specifically over 64 GB). Power-wise I assume this would make the most sense to hard wire and have a battery backup for when the car is powered off. I'm starting to make a list of brands/features but most of the stuff I am finding online is 6+ months older...is this still up-to-date? |

![]() So when you have the dash cam doing and say you do a race do you turn it to the side or is it able to rotate?

![]() So I wound up going with the just-released A129 Duo as it has all of the functions I want, uses the same Starvis lens that everyone seems to love in higher-end Blackview/Thinkware products, people seem to mostly like the design, it's not picky about SD cards, and it was only $170. Worst case is if I do not like it then I can always upgrade to something pricier.
I also purchased a Vico Power Plus to use the camera in parking mode, so that I can set the voltage and temperature cutoff points so that the battery is not overdischarged, and so the camera is not damaged by heat. As this camera uses a continual parking mode with reduced frame rate/reduced power consumption, I think I am going to also purchase an Optima Yellow Top battery. Now I need to read about the which circuits I want to place the two Add-a-Fuse lines for constant power and Acc/ignition-only power to hardwire the Vico... |

![]() Does anyone have any recommendations on where to wire the Vico unit? It has three leads - one for ground, one for ACC to supply power when the car is operating, and one for constant on to supply power when the car is not operating for parking mode (manual says to wire constant to the battery but plenty of people are just using the Add-a-Fuse + a 5-amp fuse, which is what I would like to do.) Would 'Mir' be good for constant on and '10a cigar' for ACC?

![]() Has anyone tried one of these?
https://waylens.com/360/ I like the fact that it doesn't need 2 separate cameras to capture front and rear activity |

![]() Anyone have thoughts on the Roav? I'm a big fan of Anker products, and like that it doesn't have a hinge (so it won't bounce and move around). But they seem to have a bunch of really similar models with very slight feature differences, and I'm not sure what -- if any -- are worth it.

![]() I had a YI dash cam in my car for a couple months and I really liked it. It has great quality as far as resolution and sound. And the night driving image is awesome too! Its compact and has a 2.7 inch screen with a 165* wide angle lens. I know it may not be the best out there, but its really user friendly and is not too bad for a $50 dash cam. I would recommend getting it if your'e on the fence of buying a dash cam or not just to have the added insurance!
(The same company, YI, also makes a rear view mirror dash cam for $80 if you want to be extra incognito) Amazon link: https://www.amazon.com/YI-1080P60-Da...dash+cam&psc=1 |

![]() Picked up the new DR900S-2CH, plan to be installing this week swapping out from my DR750! The good thing is you can re-use the wiring, so it makes the install a breeze and 2 minutes to swap out!

![]() Going on a family vacation in a few weeks. Would like to take a small camera about the size of the go pro hero 5s. This would be mounted on my hat as we walk around outdoors.
Any other recommendations besides the go pro? |
