Andore's Pure Red Projects 2017 STI
Hi all, I'm a bit new here. So I was going to go all out and doing crazy engine modifications to my new 2017 STI, but decided I like warranty. So I'm taking a different approach until the warranty is up. There are some parts out there that I understand you just have to pay for, but a lot of things I believe you can do yourself with enough time and skill. So without further ado, I want to reserve this thread to my current and future projects on my car without messing with warranty.
Current Project: Headlights Future Projects: Changing base model seats to Braum Elite-X Red stitching Leather Coilovers and Struts Tires to 265 and wheels 18" Try my hand at making custom fitted OEM look fiberglass sub box and change out speaker system (IMO stock none upgraded speakers are trash) Sound deaden car Catback Exhaust Also looking forward to trying to make my own carbon fiber parts!! I've since peel'd off the plasti-dip, wheels got too dirty and couldn't stay clean. Current sitting From dealership, foot-well lightining cost 70 bucks!! eff that, 15 bucks! Picture makes it look like a gateway to heaven but you can change the brightness on the remote. Hardwired Escort Passport MAX Priority right now is lighting. My car came with OEM LEDs. I notice that they have a nice color, but I've been messing with lighting for a while and I'd have to say that they are alright. I understand that if my car already has LEDs, don't mess with them. Yes, I know, that's why I got myself a pair of 2016 WRX housings to play with in case my retrofit takes a wrong turn. Projectors hot and ready Morimoto 3" FX-R Bi-Xenon Morimoto 2.5" 7.0 H1 Bi-Xenon Is300/ES300 fog projectors

Shroud LED testing. Morimoto Halo switchback
Testing Demon Eye. So this is my first time dealing with LEDs Halos/Demon eyes and it amazed me on how much demon eyes cost. Kits cost like 200 bucks like wtf!!! Eff that, less than 70 bucks. Most expensive part was a Morimoto bluetooth remote. I got some RGB LED strips and connecting wires off Ebay/Amazon for around 10 bucks. If you buy actual demon eye strips from some companies will net you around 50-100 bucks just 4 strips that cost 10 bucks. Test Fitting the FX-R 3", gonna need to do some cutting. Changing the Blinker into a fog housing with IS300 projector. More cutting and need some bondo. Will update when I run to the store and get some bondo and some really long screws!! Corgi for intermission Last edited by andore77; 05-14-2017 at 07:49 PM. |

Looks good. Do you have a pic of how you mounted the radar detector. What mount? I have the same detector but I never thought of mounting it up there. Pic from the back seat? and how did you hard wire it? +1 for the pure red, I love mine!
