I've enjoyed the last couple of series. I'll be giving this a shot and basing my opinion on what it is rather than what it isn't.

Problem is that they are attempting to recreate something random that took years to develop.
Well it was either media people or car people before.

Now they're adding an athlete.

Chris Harris wasn't random (was putting out and still putting out the highest quality car reviews on the internet), and Matt LeBlanc had been on the show before once or twice.

These guys though... WTF

Yeah, I liked the Matt Leblanc fastest celebrity storyline and the fact he makes his own MX tracks at his house. Shame it didn't work out. As long as Chris Harris doesn't leave I'll still watch.

They should have had Chris Harris provide a list of a few of his car buddies, given them a few rehearsals, and picked the 2 with the most on screen presence.
Then the show could start off with the chemistry and banter of 3 friends messing around instead of trying to build it with 3 strangers.

Same....I dont care if it's actually been somewhat decent(just what I've heard, probably only watched a half hour total since they left) since the trio left, itll never be remotely close to what it was. Plus since we have the trio on another show, why would I even bother?

What's wrong with having two good car shows to watch?

I feel like Harris, LeBlanc and Rory were finally starting to come together and work. Too bad.

Exactly. Even as not-clarkson-may-hammond as the follow-up cast of Top Gear was, the show was still more entertaining than anything on Velocity.

The first season was bad, but Harris/LeBlanc/Rory got on pretty well. I enjoyed it at least.

Nothing at all. I just never felt compelled to watch. And I know it's an unpopular opinion, but I've never seen what the big deal about Chris Harris is. I realize he's good at what he does, I just never really got into his videos.

So basically you're more into the entertainment side of TG and not the nerd level car porn side of TG, that's all.

Agreed. The last season with those 3 was pretty good.
Bummed that LeBlanc quit, but why did they have to dump Rory too? Or did he quit too?

Ehhhh not really, I'm still a car nerd. A few years ago, I finally had to get rid of quite a collection of car and drivers and road and tracks dating back to the late 90s. I know it sounds weird, but depending on the reviewer in a TV/YouTube review, I would rather read a review. But overall, the combo of car porn with one of the trio doing a review, at least imo, is unmatched, so I could take or leave most anyone else doing one.
