Rally Stuff MAP DCCD Controller install on CAN-Bus Subaru - RPM and Speedo

I just wanted to throw up a quick post as I searched and had a heck of a time finding an answer to this.

Basically, we put a 6MT into our 2014 WRX and we needed the tach/rpm signal and speedo signal to get the MAP DCCD to function fully. Since the car uses a CAN-Bus, those two signals don't go directly to the ECU, but instead are routed to the Cluster instead.

But you can get these two signals. If you look at the wires that come out of the cluster, pins 31 and 32 are what we needed. The RPM was a gray wire with a red stripe in pin 32, and the speedo was a pink wire with a green stripe.

These can also be accessed behind the radio as the bundle of wires heads down that way. Though you will have to find the correct wire group, and dig through until you find those two wires.

Hope this helps!

Awesome write up. Do you know if this is true for a 2010 Wrx as well? setting up with DCCD Pro soon.
Thank You
