They were revamping their website. The links should be fixed now!

As for why I chose AT, just a combination of daily driven car, LA traffic, the necessity of my gf having to drive the car if needed, and some laziness involved. My knee also tends to get sore due to an accident earlier in my life. I really don't see the AT as a negative thing. It's a good transmission and I often use it in manual mode; let's me focus on improving my ability to handle the car itself actually. But I do know quite a lot of track guys who ended up getting ATs as well. Also, the tS in Japan can be bought as an AT too

Damn its been over a year since the last post on my NASIOC build thread. Been lurking rather than posting. Things have changed quite significantly. I picked up a 2015 WRX towards the end of 2014, only to sell it towards the end of 2015 for a Golf R. The original plan was to build out the WRX as a sister vehicle to my BRZ and progress was actually being made quite fast:

In the end though, I was looking for a little more comfort for DD duties. Nothing against the WRX, but I just fell in love with the Golf R the more I tested it (and as a former owner of a GTI). Then I decided to go against my trend and picked it up in red:

Things have really progressed on the BRZ since the last update.

Aesthetic wise the big addition is the GT wing from the JDM BRZ tS GT Package:

But the real changes are underneath the skin. We've gone full mechanical changes from the tS, which includes the STI v-bars, STI draw stiffener (underbrace), STI steering rack bushings, and larger diameter rear axles from the BRZ tS.

We then added Cusco sway bars and the oil cooler from the 2.0DIT of the Forester XT.

And then E85!

I was then lucky enough to have a friend pick up the tS airbag cover from Japan:

And here we are today:

But of course, it's already in-process of going under the knife again. We're going full mounts from STI, which include engine, transmission, rear subframe, and differential. We're also installing the rear subframe assembly from the BRZ tS. Right now the car has been disassembled for all these parts to go in:

Here's the car all torn apart

Love it! I nip at your heels, Sir!

Performance-wise, I really respect the Golf R. Cosmetically it does nothing for me.

I wanted to maybe meet up with you as I passed through California. I got super busy though and I'm sure you're busy too. Another time!

Thanks! I'm not gonna lie, I actually forgot I had a build thread on NASIOC . I'll try to add some updates to this thread later but if anyone is interested the most up to date build is tracked on the FT86 forums:

http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=19176

Plenty more photos on there too!

Look so nice with STI calliper on it. Love those wheels too.

Did you swap the bleeders of the front calliper? Planning to do the same brake mod, but researchs indicate it's going to be a tough job to swap the bleeders. Could you share some experience please? Really appreciate!
