TBH I've never lived anywhere that had any possibility of needing all seasons before. It hovers around 40 or lower for a chunk of the year, and I'm not buying winters for 4 or 5 days of snow so I decided to give them a shot. Might be a mistake, if so I'll go back to summers in a few years time when I eat through the tread on these.

Winter tires (not just "snow" tires) are for low operating temps. Might make sense to pick up a set of winters and a set of summers as well.

265 all seasons is just... Backwards.

I have a 08 and am looking to pick up some 18's. Im looking at the XXR 530 18x8.75 with +33. I've seen 18x8.5 +48 on the same car. I am hopeing to get away with out any fender mods too. I am not lowers yet but plan on ordering the Epic -1" springs. Any advice you could give me would be great.

Wrong thread.. Read the title. You will have to roll your fenders 100%.

Drag DR38 17x9 +38 with Cooper 255/40/17. According to the tire/wheel calculator, everything should fit since it is relatively close to oem set up. I am lowered on epic engineering springs and i am assuming it will still fit without rubbing in the rear with no fender roll. Only other similar post i've seen was with a +42 offset and that person was lowered on swift springs instead and did not have to do any fender, alignment, and camber adjustment. As far as alignment and camber goes, anything i need to do out of the ordinary? Thanks.

You might rub without a roll. I have the same exact specs on my car 17x9 +38 with 255/40R17. I rolled before hand but it looks like it would rub if I didn't. I'm on Koni's with RCE Blacks

You'll probably need a roll. And it's nowhere close to OEM setup.. The wheel is an inch wider and the offset is 15mm lower than the stock 53mm. I would roll before hand to be safe and not risk damaging your fenders!

No 19" bashing please. Wondering how this setup would turn out on a 12' WRX. I feel they are going to stick out too far but not quite sure because they are 8.5 instead of 9.5. They are 19x8.5 with +30 offset and would run a 235 or 245 tire. I want them to be flush but not sticking out like crazy and I am currently on stock suspension but may go with coilovers too.

Thanks for the input!

Math! Math math math.

Stock is 17x8 +53. Compared to this, your new 19x8.5 sticks out about 6mm more because of the width (1/2" = 12.7mm, and half that is on the outside, so 6.35mm), and 23mm more because of the offset, for a total of 29mm further stick-out.

My benchmark size (see first post) of a 9.5" +40 wheel sticks out about 32mm more than the stock wheel, and is pretty flush. Yours would stick out 3mm less, so the tires will probably clear, but you might have some minor interference of tire with the back fender.

Personally -- and I'm trying to pretend that I'm not an actual vendor here -- I would never buy wheels off ebay. There's enough things that can be wrong with wheels, like wrong size/offset/color, shipping damaged, balance or roundness problems, that you might find yourself needing service, and ebay vendors aren't really known for being easy to get a hold of. Maybe you can find a local vendor who can get these same wheels for you?

Thinking about two wheel choices. For both I'm going to stick with 17x8-17x8.5.

The one set is 17x8.25, 5x100 + 35

The second set is 17x8, 5x100 +42

Regarding offset I know the second set is better since it is closer to stock. If I go With the first set will I be able to fit them and what the largest sized tired I could out with each set.

This is for a 2013 Wrx hatch.

Thanks,
Ant

How wide can I go on the stock wheels. I'm thinking 255/40/17. Will these fit with no problems? Thanks

what fits and what is optimal are two very, very different questions.

performance wise, i wouldn't do anything wider than a 245 on an 8" wheel.

but if you look at the auto cross derps, you'll see guys running 275-285's on stock wheels. but then again, they do things that have absolutely no application outside of driving around cones in a parking lot.

Hey guys I'm looking at some wedssport that are 18x9.5 +48. Is there enough inside clearance to run that high of an offset with that wide of a wheel? I have an '11 wrx sedan.

Enkei Tuning Raijin
Finish: Gunmetal Painted

They offer it in 18x8.5 45mm offset, or 18x9.5 45mm offset. (5x100 obviously)

Which size would work best for the 2011 WRX Sedan?

Also, what tires would you guys wrap around it?

*For anyone trying to avoid fender rolling and rubbing issues*
