Default Buying a Subaru S204

I want to buy a S204 and bring it to the states how hard is that to do? We have the same chassis here. I heard the reason we cant bring cars over is due to emissions and body panels like the glass is thinner than the ones in the US and stuff like that but what if we change the glass and do a motor swap to get it here and like alot of ppl swap the jdm motor back in. Is it even possable to get a S204 here in the US with out costing an arm and a leg? Is there even a S204 here in the US that is registered?

No, seriously. It's not as simple as just buying 1 car.

This has been gone over NUMEROUS times and several companies have been created to legally bring over cars from Japan.

Guess what?

They all went bankrupt.

It is VERY expensive to bring over the cars, have them crash tested, make the necessary modifications to bring them up to US spec, then register.

There is one loophole that was talked about that is for curio cars that get driven under a certain (very low) number of miles per year, but to date no one on NASIOC has successfully done it with a Subaru.

I did some research and ppl were saying u have to crash test the car but does it have to be the exact S204 or can u use a wrx or impreza instead? There alot of ppl saying what to do but like u said they never tell u the out come if it was succesfull or not. I figure if we have the same chassis here and convert the glass headlight seatbelts and install all the safety beams there shouldn't be a problem

Look into Motorex. Ask them how much of a problem importing JDM cars is.

If someone would go ahead and ban this guy, he's already going into my FS threads and claiming I'm a scammer.

The only way this guy owns an IS-F is if mommy and daddy bought it for him. He seems to have the maturity level of a 16 yr old kid.

No way you have the education, skills or personality to have any sort of real career. Good luck on importing your super jdm race car.
