Default FP 3065 Pumpgas 470whp...

FP 3065
Crower Cams
Ported WRX heads
Standard size SS Valves
Springs + Retainers
Turbotrix built 2.5 block
Cosworth Oil Pump
POS FMIC( Probably the worst intercooler I have ever seen in my life )
TXS UTEC + SD
TXS 5Bar
Perrin Rails
RC 800cc
GT Spec Headers
Cooling Mist (NOT USED YET)

I actually street tuned this car.. As you can tell from the run files. It made 450 right off the street on pump gas with 20-21psi.. I turned it up tp 22psi and it made another 20whp until the stock ECU died (ground issues)... Im sure this car will make 475-490whp on plain old 93 octane.. I still have the timing very low.. I knew it felt good on the street, but it was quite the suprise to see the power it made. Next up once I get the ECU sorted I tune it on Meth and then some c-16... I expect the car to make around 520-550whp..

What is an FP 3065? Similar to an FP Red? 65 lbs compressor wheel?

sorry for being a turbo newb but how does this compare to the gt30r and gt35r? is this stock mount or rotated?

better fmic, sti heads, and some meth should help get the boost down a few hundred rpms right?

It is basically a 35r compressor wheel and a 30r turbine wheel. Up to 30psi it will make about the same power as a 35r.

I absolutly couldnt believe this car. I dont want to talk bad about the owner or whoever did the work to this car. The car looked 100***37; homemade (witch in this case wasnt a bad thing) the thing wasnt the nicest setup or the prettiest but BOYYYY did this car make some stupid numbers on low boost. I couldnt believe it!! Right off the street tune the car made some serious power with not 1 hint of knock. and it was strait 93 oct no alky or racegas or anything. Junior great job, OHHHH YEA JUNIOR YOU FORGOT TO MENTION THE STOCK EXHAUST!!!! If it wasnt stock then it was a spt but that thing had a huggeeee stock looking muffler. another 10-20 there as well i would think

More info would be nice, rotated set up? Stock location just with the flange cut and a custom downpipe? What what? I was thinking of doing something simlier but probably abit more ghetto by just cutting off my stock flange and welding on a T3 4 bolt flange and making a custom downpipe that just dumps haha.

When I email FP for this turbo I got this replay from Amber Stice ...
I was considering changing my broken GT30R with this the GT3065...

"Jose,

For starters I think you don't quite understand what our FP3065 turbo is
in comparison to standard Garrett GT ball bearing turbos. The FP3065
turbo uses the Garrett GT30 CHRA and compressor housing and mates up to
our Forced Performance turbine housing. This turbine housing has a
standard DSM 4 bolt inlet and uses a 2.5" V Band style outlet. This
turbine housing also has a wastegate mount directly on the turbine
housing for mounting a TiAL 44m V Band wastegate to it. Our FP30 Turbine
Housing only comes in a .70 A/R.

If you are wanting something similar but wanting to use the .82 turbine
housing, what you would be wanting to run would be the Garrett GT3082
turbo that you have the option of picking a .63 or a .82 turbine
housing. This turbo uses the same CHRA as our FP3065, but instead of
using our FP30 turbine housing, it uses the standard Garrett T3 style
turbine housings. Cost on the Garrett GT3082R Turbo is $XXXXX

In my opinion if you are looking for more power, I would go with the
Garrett GT3582R as the Garrett GT3082R or FP3065 would be more of a
lateral step power wise for you.

If you have any other questions, please let me know.

Thank you,
Amber"

Woohoo... Heads and cams show what they can do. Thats killer JR. That 3065 pretty much sucks but it sure is working great on this car. Cant wait to see this girl turned up on C16.

I dunno about that.....Topspeeds Brighton cracked 505 whp at only 20psi and is getting FULL boost at 4000 rpms. Look in PPB for Doug's thread.
