I was just about to say the same thing Kristi did. A bit of soapy water always works great. Then squeegee it flat and it'll be perfect.

I have a fresh roll of black vinyl that should be getting delivered tomorrow. What do you want stickers of?

Yep, soapy water or glass cleaner allows you to move the film around to position it correctly. When you have it where you want it, press the center down and work outwards from the center. Then, use a hair dryer or heat gun (set on low) to get rid of wrinkles and help the fim conform to the contours of the surface. For a squeegie, I use plastic Wal-Mart body putty tools. It needs to be stiff enough to form the vinyl, but flexable enough that it doesn't scratch it (when heated, it scratches more easily). The key is taking your time.

Yeah, had all of that going for me, but these outside lenses are just a complete b*tch! Given the surfuce "designs", it is almost impossible to get it to lay flat and stick without wrinkling. I know people have done it as I have seen the "after" results - just not up close I guess. Just got so frustrated with that one!

I still like my parking ramp idea there by Court Ave. We could eat at Legends or Dos Rios.

Then we can go over to Liars and see how many whiskeys on the rocks Justin can put down.

This is relevant to my interests.

Also, what about Famous Dave's sometime? Not sure if we would fit in there, but if we called ahead...?

Thought so, but I just wanted to check.

I was hoping to have them cut for the event last weekend, but I ran out of time. I am not that great with graphics manipulation and I couldn't get the track to render in my cutting software correctly. Hopefully, I'll have some time to work on it this weekend and get some cut.

I don't really know what that means. The image you are trying to use isn't working with your vinyl cutter?

Saw something at the north DQ the other day that there is one the first Friday of every month (think it was the first Friday) at the Northern Lights pizza location right up there. Other than that, I am not sure of any more around Ames any more...

Do you know what kind of file format you need? i can send it to you in just about any format. Our cutter uses PLT files, but i have heard of others using DXF.

I saw Graham added pics from Oskaloosa, so I checked the other forum and found the link. Here you go Rob, Scott, and Loi.

Yep, I grabbed some pics of my car, cropped them and got them up to FB but hadn't come over to share the link yet.

Also, here's the results from Osky:

http://forums.dmvrscca.org/forums/vi...php?f=7&t=2367

I had an awesome time despite the weather. It was my first time autocrossing so I was pretty nervous and thanks to choosing number 4 I was the second car on the course. I was happy with my times for being a noob and for my suspension still being stock.
