but to answer your question, no, it is not quiet. lol. if you want quiet, id stay with the stock airbox.
Idk about the '06 MY but maybe you can get a high flow drop in? i think this will still make more noise though.
no... i dont want it quiet. I was just making sure that it will still give the sound even in the box.

I have no problem with the wushhhh sound. in fact, i like it.

CAI will not be as loud as SRI. BPV will be louder with either.

So what do u think? Shall I go with the CIA or SRI? Got the bov already. I would love the wush sound while shifting.

I went with the CAI because it should give you colder intake temperatures, and because it's not as loud as the SRI. Plenty of whoosh, and when you're getting on it it gives you a nice sharp cough when the BPV opens.

I don't know about an '06, but I'm at stage 2 in my 2011 and I feel like the CAI gives me a little more up top. Regardless, I like the sound and the look and pretty much everything about it, so it was well worth the money for me. I think the OP has made it pretty clear he's going for the sound mostly, and he knows what he's getting. I've never understood people on this forum that feel compelled to give "advice" that's neither needed nor asked for.

Unless you're going to be boosting more than 22 PSI there's no reason for a BOV.

Not even. You can whack it with a hammer and get higher numbers.

Don't get a BOV. The only people that get BOV's are people running upgraded turbos with over 25 psi boost. Or people who want to run rich and blow their motor. Neither apply to you.... I hope

I have a full recirculating same as stock. The stock might do the job with an upgraded turbo like VF48 but I had some bucks in the pocket and I purchased a Greddy RZ BOV.
