Soon to be New to the Portland Area
Hello All,
In a couple of months I will be moving up to Clackamas with my wife. I just have a couple of questions that you all might be able to answer. I'm from CA and when i move to oregon do I need to register my vehicle right away? Also, i've done some searching and people are passing the emissions with an up and down pipe, but what about a vf34 turbo, full tbe, etc. Your input is highly appreciated. Looking forward to being a part of the North West. Thanx again. -Andrew

think you have 90 days on the registration
if you have some spare cash you can pass any emissions with any mods.... |

1. DEQ the car to see if it passes; If you passed, skip to step 5; if not, proceed to step 2.
2. Replace the aftermarket components necessary to pass. 3. Re-DEQ. 4. Put aftermarket parts back on. 5. Carry on blissfully for 2 years until you have to renew. Or you could just do what I did, and buy or rent far enough from the city that you don't have to DEQ! Peace, and welcome to Oregon! P03w Tad |

Hey Andrew-- I think I bought a prodrive exhaust off you a couple of years ago. Anyway my wife and I just moved up from San Diego to Troutdale 2 weeks ago and we love it up here. People drive a lot slower on the freeways and seem to be much nicer in general. Good luck with the move.

First thing is to get acquainted with the pdxwrx yahoo group, there is enough spare parts in this community to solve any problem, and generous help to install them and uninstall them to get you past emmissions. (that is if you have any problems, see Tad's advice above). We just bum parts if we need them.
