To get more, consider
1. slotting struts
2. camber/caster plates

So are the RCE lowering camber plates a good thing to pick up for my 05 wagon? I plan to run the RCE wagon springs/Tokico D/Group N tophats all around. And is the only place to get the the RCE website? Cus I checked just now and it says they are sold out.

I'd go RCE non-lowering plates w/ the RCE wagon springs- you don't need the extra drop in front

TIC might also be carrying the RCE plates, but if RCE is out- likely TIC is out too

do the non-lowering camber plates add stack height? <-- (thus, raising the car ~0.25" from stock tophats)

The lowering camber plates should increase travel, correct? I was thinking of using those in tandem with the lower strut DREX mod (for Konis) to get obscene amounts of travel for a future GC setup on the Konis.

no they are 0 raising (and 0 lowering)- unlike most plates that do add to stack height

the lowering ones would add travel- if your thinking GC in the future you very well might want to consider the lowering ones, otherwise w/ the RCE wagon springs the lowering from the springs is just about right as is IMO ~ 30mm

We TRY and keep an inventory of RCE stuff, but it goes quick.

So we had a gauging interest thread and it was closed do to inappropriate material.

I take full blame for that as I posted 1 innocent pic of Scarlett Johanson. None the less she has nothing to do with springs so it was closed.

I thank all those who have ordered this most recent round of wagon springs and expect updates soon on production of the new batch of wagon springs.

Actually Myles is being nice, I was the bad puppy that wizzed on the carpet. Apparently, boredom at work, combined with too much enthusiasm for an upcoming project turns me into a teenage boy*.
The thread got closed, but for my penance, if anyone has any questions I'll paste the info from it on this one.

*As a former teenage boy, I mean no insult to the teenage boy community. I have the utmost respect for teenage boys and their enthusiasm for the female form.

Why not just use the RCE Yellow spring with a saggy butt spacer? Drop is almost identical, and spring rates are pretty similar too. Plus, Yellows are still available sold in many places.

Mostly out of a compulsion to have to not have to make a sedan part fit a wagon. The spacer is just one more thing to add on. I know yellows work, but personally, it's just knowing you had the part that was engineered with your car in mind.

I understand that, but there are many wagon owners who already have the (inexpensive) spacers, so instead of waiting for a group buy that could take forever you could just buy the yellows from RCE or elsewhere right now. I have the spacers, so when I find a pair in classifieds that is within my springs budget I'll go that route. $340 for springs is just too much for me.

I would have rather had the wagon springs but yellows were good enough for me.

Extra parts to clunk creak slip loosen etc. Less adapters is better.

saggy but spacers are not going anywhere they fit snug. I wonder if Myles would comment if the wagon springs have a slightly higher or different rate in the rear to accommodate the increased weight of the rear of the wagon.

I have the RCE yellows on Ohlins FPS (awesome awesome struts) with 1/4" spacers on the back of my Wagon for over a year now.

The only way it can clunk, is if it's not tighten properly, otherwise everything stays put.

The RCE yellow have slightly higher spring rate than the wagon springs, but have a lower ride height all the way around.

If I remember correctly, the rear wagon springs are longer than the Yellows to compensate for the saggy rear.

Wagons are 275/259 rate and Yellows are 295/275. We did a second prototype when we made wagons to make sure the rear wasnt low. The other pictures from wagon owners shows a very level car. Saggy butt shims arent needed with wagon springs on a wagon.

Has anyone put RCE Black (regular guy) springs on a wagon with rear saggy spacer and without the lowering plates? I saw TurboJon's post, but I'd like to see pics without the front lowering plates. I'm trying to see if the RCE Black springs drop more on a wagon than the RCE Wagon springs do (I'd like less of a drop).

just how much lower are the Yellows compared to the wagon springs? If wagon springs are not available when I am ready, I am willing to purchase the yellows and use saggy spacers to adjust for it. I just want to make sure I have the right numbers and purchase the right spacers

I thought I saw a relatively recent thread from RCE that they had wagon springs- might want to give them a shout

labcoat put yellows on his wagon and got 13.5" ride heights at all four corners with a 3/8" spacer in the rear.

yellows
13.5" front
13.125" rear without the spacers.

Blacks are 8mm higher in the front and 10mm higher in the rear.
Blacks on a wagon should sit at
13.9" in the front and
13.4" in the rear.

Thanks! So I'd be fine with the Black or Wagon springs as they appear to have pretty similar rates and almost the same lowering (I already have the rear spacer). I'd be pretty happy with ~14" F/R. Anyone know off hand what Sti takeoff springs on a wagon lower? (that's what I'm on now)

This is what I look like after some more settling.
