Default Which TMIC will fit BE Legacy's

Ok guys, tested fitted the big Minnam TMIC on my Legacy...it hits the firewall . Anyone know if the WRX TMIC will fit? STI?

How bad do you guys think the Baja IC is, considering it's the only one that I can 100% guarantee will fit a BE legacy.

why wouldn't the WRX/STi Intercoolers fit? Lots of Legacy guys are running them.

AFAIK, 00-04 Legacy's have the firewall closer to the engine (like how the 06+ wrx's, which in turn got smaller IC's similar to Baja's).

too much $$ for something pushing only 7 psi Anyway, the size question is only because I was wondering if for the future, I may be pushing some more boost, but as of right now, the Baja IC will probably be more than enough to cool the incoming air...

I am not sure an STI TMIC will fit with the firewall being so far down the engine bay. Try the wrx TMIC, its much more squat and if you're only pushing 7psi it'll be enough.

If you're going t o be strapped for room, go with the 06 WRX tmic like I did when I had a turbo BD. Plenty of room left afterword.

Hey Joe... I'm interested in the Forester intercooler. Is Yoshio doing your FMIC install? I'll be at JA next Monday.

I'll post pics when the installation starts. As it sits, I'm still waiting for my Arias pistons. When that shows up, I'll take lots of pics.

xcntrk75 - Which intercooler do you have now?

rougeben83 - I'm curious which Minnam intercooler did you try that didn't fit? I have the Vishnu Stage II - III that came out I believe in 02-03 when Shiv reworked their turbo kit for the NA impreza 2.5.
