I worked my way through college at a Chrysler dealership and my friend who got me the job worked at the Subaru dealership owned by the same people. That was in 2006-2008. I went for the interview and they had a blue WRX STI on the showroom floor and I fell in love.

Fast forward 12 years and I was finally in a position to buy a toy so I started looking for a 2006-2007 wrb STI. It had to be the WRB and have the stock gold wheels. The closer to stock the better. I found one 560 miles away. 2 owners, clean car fax and maintenance records. Appears to be 100% stock so I flew out to see it. Was showing typical wear for a 12 year old car but overall shape was very acceptable. We agreed on a price and I handed them the check. An hour later I was leaving the Subaru dealership with my 2007 STI.

I will post pictures as soon as I figure out how to. Looks like I need to switch to desktop mode unless I am missing something

Future plans include refinishing the stock wheels and getting another set for winter tires. I want to lower it but just to eliminate the fender gap. Replace the worn out shifter bushings and install the Cobb short throw shifter. Tint the windows and figure out what the black box is on the windshield being held up with double sided tape.

Eventually I want to repaint the car since it has chips and scratches on it. Mostly in the front but color matching old and new paint rarely looks good so a complete repaint is in the plans.

I want to keep it as stock as possible. Any aftermarket parts will be done to look stock when possible and the stock parts will be kept when possible.

I don't race, not even stop light to stop light. I just love the looks of the car and having the power to pass a semi truck on the Pennsylvania hills is nice.

Still undecided about adding the factory style fog lights to the car. I did notice the color of the high beams doesn't match the low beams and I want to address that soon

Thank you. Been reading as much as I can on here so I don't ask a question that's been asked a thousand times before.

Due to my work schedule, i.e. I'm only home 4 days a month, it's going into Subaru to get the state inspection and the Cobb shifter bushings installed on Monday before I go back to work. When I get home in two weeks I have 4 days off before I leave for Europe for a month. I need to make sure she is all cleaned up and ready for storage while I'm gone.

When I get back I'm going to tint windows and replace the stock radio. I've been looking at the Cobb stage 2+ package and may get it but I need to do more research.

The difference in the light output color is because you probably have HID headlights. Hi output is still incandescent on factory HID.

Cobb stage 2 is very nice, my car was 100% reliable running over 160,000 miles on a stock Cobb stage 2 setup at the time I sold it.
