Something like 22000 miles on my 2013. It's kind of loud inside and a little bit rattly, but I still love driving it. Makes me want to hoon and slay tires every time.

I have about 28K miles on my 2013 now. It's prepped for STX and I would definitely purchase it again.

Exactly 2 years ago I put in my order for my FR-S. My company lease will be up in a couple years and I'll probably not lease another one. Being my company car, I feel obligated to take it on days that I don't want to drive it. That said, I'm glad I did get this one when I did. It is such a well sorted car and it has taught me a lot as a driver. It is so rewarding when you get it just right. It is also humbling. I'm happy to have scratched the itch with this car. Great experience and probably a car I'll look back on wishing that I'd kept (especially if all the interesting cars continue going away).

I'd not only buy it again, but I'd buy it and strip it out again.

I just picked up my 2016 BRZ two days ago. It's rough, noisy, cramped....but I love it!

I bought my 2013 4 months ago, so i'd say I'm out of the honeymoon stage.
I'd buy it again in a heartbeat. It's the least powerful car I've ever bought and it's the one that puts the biggest smile on my face every day. It makes me look forward to my commute in a way my other cars just couldn't. |

Sold mine little over a year ago... Probably going to get another one.
Only decision is trying to get a killer deal on a 1st gen once the new ones are out or just go for the new one. |

Just go for the new one. So many nice little improvements for pretty much the same price. For what I paid on mine initially and the add-ons over the years, the 2017's plus Performance Package would've saved me a lot of money in the end. Plus I still lust for steering wheel controls.

How insanely cheap is cheap? What kind of condition and how many miles?

New one only matters if you like the facelift and if you might track it. For strictly a DD the upgrades amount to no difference in driving performance. The performance package is nice but then again more suited for tracking than DD. I thinks it's more if you want the car now or wait for later. Other forums said performance package not available until January.

Absolutely, except if find a used one instead of buying new but I don't regret it at all.

I got a BRZ back in November last year.
I pretended like I could get in and out of it like I did with my GSR when I was still 24. Well, I'm 42 now, and I twisted my ankle pretty bad trying to get out of it like I used to get out of my GSR and had to relearn how to get out of a 2 door sports car as a not young man. I don't regret the pain and would do it all over again. I'd also be 24 again, if I could. |

Without Hesitation
I had a 2014 FRS for about 6 months, 37000kms, front pipe and catback aftermarket, every shifter mod and steering rack mod done. All for only $15000. Was the epitome in what I value in a car. But I got in an accident and it was a write off. I have an 18 STI and previously had both our vehicles in my name but this time she wanted something that was better in winter. She got a Veloster N. We both hate it and are slowly contemplating selling it to get out of the loan and into another gt86 and to lower our payments. Personally we adore 86s and wouldn't own anything other other than 86s and STIs at our price range. We'd happily sign that paperwork again.

So, I finished out the lease, opted to not buy it out, and got a motorcycle. After 2 years with the motorcycle, I’m planning on selling it this spring. After losing a coworker in an accident and having some close calls from other drivers, I can’t shake the feeling that I might die any time I get on it. It is loads of fun, but the stress really ruins the fun. Anyway, I’m on the hunt for an FR-S/BRZ/86 to use as an occasional daily and hit the track a couple times a year. I didn’t realize how much I’d miss it. |
