Default Why did you choose Subaru Outback?

What are some of the considerations that you made before deciding to go with Subaru Outback? As the new Subaru Outback is coming soon, this is a very good read from Torque News discussing 7 Things To Know Before You Buy New Subaru Outback.

What do you think?

I just bought an 2011 Outback around 2 weeks ago and I love it so far. The reason I went Subaru is both the AWD and the community around it. I know if I get stuck with any maintenance or mods, I can ask most owners, not just a select few who are car enthusiasts. Also, that boxer engine! There was very little vibration in the car while driving and at idle, like nothing I've ever driven before.

Why I went with the Outback? Interior space and luxury. It came with heated seats and loads of space, plus just feels more like a proper family car, without having to go above and beyond in extra costs. My wife and I are expecting, so room for us, the dog, and a newborn is great. The ground clearance is awesome for stock ride height, as well as the longer/lower appearance as compared to the Forester. The Forester we test drove after we tested our Outback was so much worse in comparison. Very top heavy, not as fancy, and felt too much like the infamous Subaru Stock Interior.

Overall, Subaru makes great vehicles, the community adds a level of support and transparency to the company, and personally for us, the Legacy based Outback had the right level of creature comforts over the Impreza based Forester.
