![]() How does one actually hit a curb anyway? I've been driving for 18 years, and I have still never seen a curb jump in front me.

Do you parallel park once a year? Guaranteed you're hitting that curb, and taking 15 minutes to park, and holding up traffic, and.... |

![]() I made the mistake of buying snow tires without a rim protector built into the tire. With the heavy winters and terrible roads we get up here, my wheels look like I went off roading with no air in my tires. Not that I care though, I use the stock wheels for my winter setup.

![]() I had the same problem - my wife brushed a curb
![]() I used these people http://www.quiktouch.com/ , I just filled in my car & year info, and said I wanted the gray wheel paint. About two weeks later I got this for $10: ![]() 800 grit wet/dry sandpaper: ![]() Finished product: ![]() Not bad, you can see it if you look for it, but not real easy. Ultimately I may wet sand and clear coat it, but it did a good job for touch up paint with a brush. |

![]() You can definitely make them look brand new again if you sand really steadily and across a wide area around the scrapes. ChrisFix has an awesome video about it.

![]() I am going to give that a shot. I ordered a touch up pen for Magnetic Gray and also ordered the Quik Touch paint for Subaru wheels, I'll see which looks closer.
I didn't get curb rash but thanks to the Indiana's crumbling roads I somehow managed to get a sizeable chip taken out of my wheel. I figure either color will be less noticeable than a big white/silver spot. ![]() |

![]() I went off roading a couple of weeks ago and scratched one of the OEM 18".... used bondo plastic metal and dupli-color Gun metallic.... made it less bad, but not quite a color match.
The color in the cap looks a great match, but once applied the G Metallic is a bit of a lighter grey than the wheels... I want to dip them in gloss gold or bronze anyways before winter... but I'll do it once i mount the winter rubber. |

![]() I have a sport limited with 17 graphite wheels- I had an area I touched up two or three times and couldn't get it to look right with spray (overspray). I also used the dupicolor graphite wheel paint- best option was to sand it- then use a model paintbrush- this helped to fill imperfection. Then go back and hit it with clear coat spray can. This was much quicker and cleaner.
Just spray paint onto a piece of paper- swipe model brush size that fits your scratch- I bought a kit with like 5 brushes. Easy touchup- I did it a couple of times to build up the area- then sprayed clear. For deeper rash use some bondo to fill and sand- I have done this on mazdaspeed wheels and work good for short term. Finding a good wheel repair place helps but my mazdaspeed wheels never completely matched- hard of others to notice but I always noticed. |

![]() Lol. I keep my car very clean and shiny, but consider wheels and tires sort of a wear item. Mine look sort of like chainsaw teeth, but will be going on the winter tires anyway and get chewed up more.
