I never get bugged about it, then again all the locals know me and what my wagon can do.
The only time I have had anyone say anything about the Forester was at Home Depot, the idiot insisted I would never get all the rocks in my car, and if I did it would bottom out it reminded me of why I usually go to Lowes. |

I bought it for stealth, cargo, and practicality. Most of my friends think it's cool that it is a wagon.
It may be slightly slower, but that's just more reason to mod it/make it faster! |

AHAHAHAHAHAAH...nice. I'm going to remember that one. But I usually don't get asked why...most everyone I know knows that I have always had hatchbacks and need to be able to haul $hit and a$$ at the same time.

Subs will sound a lot better in the wagon. My decision was actualy influenced by that fact. I can't wait to find out how much better. The alpine type-r goes in this weekend....

cargo, cargo, cargo... for all my tools and other hardware i need to have with me for work. And when I go camping, the extra space allows me to take 3 or 4 people with all our stuff as opposed to the usual 2 with my old sedan.

My FXT is not a cool looking car, which is the main reason I bought it. I got way too many tickets with cars that attract attention. The only bad thing about it is these engines sound pretty crappy when they idle, and it's not just mine, they all sound that way. But, I guess that helps attract even less attention.

I'm a family man, so when I looked at it, the sedan appealed to me but I knew I wouldn't live it down with my wife. That and for someone who's intent for the car was for a capable daily driver AND capable weekend toy, the sedan v. wagon differences are negligable.
For the same amount of money, I was going as fast as the sedans on my home track. The only difference was that it took me longer to get into the techchek line because of all of the crap I had to unload. |

Call it a "station" wagon and I'll slit your throat! One main reason was the fold down back seats.

Went from a civic hatch to the wrx wagon.

sleeper, cargo capacity, insurance, looks better from the I perspective, bit easier to carry stuff on the roof, no real performance penalty.

You'd have to be an absolute idiot to get the sedan over the wagon. Sedans are so completely and utterly useless when it comes to hauling or utility. Wagons aren't associated with being a mom car, full size SUV's are.
I honestly think the WRX wagon looks a lot better than the sedan counterpart. It looks more finished. It's the same with all the Imprezas, I think so anyway. I think the new Legacy sedan looks better than the wagon counterpart however, but I still think both look extremely nice. I really don't care what people think of the car I drive, so long as it work for my needs, the WRX wagon does. |

Nobody has ever bugged me about the wagon. I would imagine those who do bug wagon owners just have no clue about Subaru in general, and are probably mildly retarded. I feel sorry for those people.
I found my wagon purely through luck. Had it been a sedan, I would have still bought it. I'm glad it was a wagon. I could have certainly made a sedan work, but the wagon is much more practical and fits into our lifestyle better. Since acquiring the wagon, we no longer have to only take the wifey's ride when going on a car trip, camping, shopping, etc. Wagon FTW, although I would buy an STI if I could. |

bugeye REx wag > 00 Rs coupe
got sick of shoehorning stuff into the coupe. waggie gobbles up spaniel, gravel tires, fishing gear, luggage, passengers, boats on roof, etc etc. 240 hp don't hurt, either. DG |

If there was an STi wagon, I would have bought that over the sedan. Fast waggons are bad ass.

Tell him that wagons are not appreciably slower, nor are they bigger. Secondly, and most importantly, they are HATCHES. Instead of a trunk, they have a hatch. I can't understand why people don't *get* the fact that it's the same car. Only thing I wish the wagon had is those great flared fenders.
The biggest selling point for me was that the seats fold down. If you use your car for things other than driving around town this can be important. And you can sleep in it if you have to |
