Default Walbro F90000285 "Hellcat" fuel Pump

Has anyone used one yet? I've had nothing but great success with Walbro in the past, I previously used the 450 and loved it.

Looks like an 8% flow increase but takes 15% more current to make it happen compared to the F90000274 (450lph). Without a pump controller that can handle the current (stock wont do it, for very long..) it would have to be hard wired. In which case I'm not sure the extra heat in the fuel would be worth it versus just running an additional switched pump for occasional high demand. Juice may not be worth squeeze. If your dedicated to a hard wired set-up and have decided the additional heat is not an issue than it may be a simple solution if your right on the edge of running out of pump.

I think the bigger issue with these pumps, as mentioned, is getting them the amperage they want through the controller. There are some aftermarket controller options, a grounding mod for the stock one, etc...

I've never had a issue running the 450 without hard wiring.

Can that pump run through the stock fuel lines from the tank to the engine bay without issue or should you upgrade those lines?

I run a hardwired Walbro 450 with all stock lines with no issues. 50 psi base pressure.

Awesome thank you. I'm going for 60 psi base to push my 1300cc injectors to the max. I'm shooting for 550whp or more
