Congrats TKRbeast,
You sound like my wife and I. After a couple of thorough test drives, the positives, for our current needs, far outweighed the few minor negatives (rear vis, not as fast as previous subs). Our WRXs and our XT fulfilled their purposes and the B9, so far, fulfills its purpose for us. Mike is correct about the limited rear visibility. We noticed that on our test drives and it still isn't a big issue for us. We expected lower mileage for this heavier vehicle. It has improved from 16 to 19.5 in mixed driving. Like you, we really enjoy the attractive, rich looking comfortable, large interior. We also continue to like the quiet, smooth, stable drive in high winds and inclimate weather. If we drove in a lot of snow and ice, we would still go to winter tires, which we have on our Jeep. |

thanks for all the replies!
everyday, i abosolutely love the B9. i noticed though that the low air tire pressure warning is on, its orange, has a "!". i checked everything and it seems fine, anyone know how to get rid of this besides going to the dealer? there was also a 4" scratch on the dash that SOA will replace as well. |

My low tire pressure light came on this AM as well, did you ever get an answer for it?

Well I live in NC, and we have had some warm weather recently, and then we had heavy rain yesterday, and it cooled off really quick. I kind of figured it was due to the wearther and it changing so fast like that, but the light was still on at lunch today, and teh skies are sunny. I will see what happens when I am driving it home this evening, I just picked it up this past Sat, i would hate to have to take it back to dealer after 4 days of ownership...

Did you check your tire pressure using a gauge when tires are cold?

There is as much as 4psi difference between cold tire and warmed up tire. Hence you always have to mesure at cold.
TMPS causes more troubles for drivers as well as Subaru Dealers. Another reason why government shouldn't get into the business of how to design cars. This is one system I can happily live without. People that care about their cars know to check tire pressure regularly and not to overload the tires like those Ford Explorer drivers. Why treate everybody like those dumies. |

dealer told me that even a difference of 1-2psi can trigger the warning system, i think he's full of crap. |

There is a pre-determined threshold for low tire pressue. If any tire pressure is lower than that limit, it will light up the warning light. And the TPMS only doing the measurement when the car starts moving and before it reachs 20mph IIRC. A lot of ppl, me included, got the warning light this past winter. Somehow I have a feeling that I have to get used to that warning light every winter Luckily, Subaru didn't put a senor in spare tire. My friend had to take his spares out from his 4Runner ( from the same spot as Tribeca's spare) and put in some air because it is the one that gives out warning.
