Default Crunch Time: wiring of Project TurdBurglar

I'm not sure how much help we'd need, but 2.2gotboost (John) is coming down Friday 11/7 to help me knock the wiring out.

We have until next Thursday until he has to leave, so we're going to do our best to get it done. This will mean some long hours, but it can be done. No pressure, John , we'll get done what we get done.

Every time I've tried to make it, I have to work or there's a prior engagement. John is the wiring man! He is a god.

Not bad.

11 hours of work today. We are having some issues with things not being there that I was told were (fuel). And with being able to use the diagnostic port.

We have to figure out some things (if my car had been an RS we would have already been done by now...2 1/2 days).

I put in roughly 13 hours today. John put in about 15 (I was at school).

We are very close to testing to see if it'll fire up.

I can't comment just yet.

BTW, ATR uppipes are the biggest pieces of crap in the world. Tim, if you are reading this I need a hookup with a flex Helix.

Unhappy

Well,

I don't know what to say. Right now I'm extremely depressed.

It's one thing after another. I've put so much time, effort, and money into this and with nothing but bad results.

I'm at a loss

I do want to thank Kent for making a special trip down here to bring me some parts last night and Bill who supplied them. Thank you and you know I will be there for you. Anyone who knows me knows that I don't make false promises.

So basically here is where I stand......

Car was running at around 1800 r'spm but I cleaned out the iac solenoid valve and idle changed to about 1000 r'spm

Car runs but stumbles/jerks around 2800 and up r'spm (but revs and idles fine to that point) But it doesn't cut out at 4k or 4,200 where limp mode supposedly throws in the limiter.

Temp gauge slowly creeps up to full after only about 5 minutes of idling/driving. (I need to check the thermostat......good possibility it's facing the wrong direction) I need to check the actual temp with a thermometer to see if it's actually running hot.

Uppipe leak. I wish I had know how crappy these ATR uppipes were before I put one on here. A new one with a flex joint in it is on the way.

There are some other minor things, but that's the majority of it.

Cam

Sorry to hear about it's not all going as planned. I may be able to make it up this saturday to help if I'm needed, but I have a meeting in the morning, so it won't be until late.

Hmm... never had the first problem out of mine.

Sorry to hear you are having issues Cam, its a long and hard road. It sounds like you may have a coolant temp sensor problem. That would explain a couple of your car's symtoms.

Have a Nice Day?

I appreciate the support. Yesterday I was tired, angry, and frustrated and I should have just stepped away from the computer. I said some things to some people I shouldn't have.

The thermostat was in correctly. I took it out and drove the car for about 15 minutes and the temp did fine, so I think that was the problem.

....

Thanks Bailey and CJ. You may want to give me a call before you come by. I need to step away for it for a little bit or I'm going to go crazy.

Thanks, Tim.

I got the codes pulled: P0102, P0118, PO125, PO463, PO183, PO447, PO113, and PO1086.
I'm also getting a clanking whenever the car is moving and I'm off the gas.....sounds like the exhaust clunking against something, but I don't know.
