This thread died for all the wrong reasons. I found out that I am getting the zn602as Zenesis system for Christmas. I installed vehicle security systems for Honda Motors for two years, and we used DEI electronics. I will say that from a professional standpoint, 1 in 20 units failed. I had to rebox them and get RA numbers from DEI, and they would quietly replace them. Customers never heard any of this, they got their new car with a new and perfect security system every time.
I am hoping for the 95% to be on my side with the Zenesis. I will definitely have lots of pics and a run-down on how easy it is to install. In the USA this is still a rare and really cool system. |

I know how old this thread is, and I don't know if it is considered dead, but I am about to open the box to a Zenesis ZN 602 A/AS/S Remote Starter - Paging Alarm and Security System.
It is not due to hit the USA until 2011, but I will be installing it in a 2002 Subaru Impreza WRX. My car is modded with discrete pieces, Bride seats, Momo knob, NR-G weighted brake handle, STi mats and pads, dead pedal, shift trim, a 2200 watt Premier/JL Audio stereo/BT entertainment system, a Dell XPS M1330 and RomRaider/OpenPort ECU tuning software... Needless to say this is going to be interesting. I saw it as only fitting that I get a security system into the car, as the mods were becoming visible from the outside, and I want the vehicle in-tact when I return to it, without worrying that kids are smudging it up looking into it, or worse, that some idiot wants my parts. The ZN602 has a more developed remote, longer range for paging, a better developed knock sensor, a louder siren, more outputs and some stuff I don't need, but will try anyway, since after wiring each feature can be digitally cut from the remote. This is the glass and steel OEL 56K color remote with 5 buttons on the side in waterproof rubber/stainless. It is my understanding that at the high-end level of electronics production, Korea does not allow shipping of any product that has nont recieved at least 2 years of testing in the local market, and Zenesis is the best of these companies. In Japan, Directed Electronics makes a competing system, but engine monitoring is not as thorough, there is no thermo sensor or ground sensor for accurately timing turbo shutdown (these have a digital turbo timer, something only the most clean-bottomed people would bother with on a WRX which has oil/water cooled turbo systems). I will be taking some pics of the goodies as they come out of the box, so even 180tuning has something to look at. My motor mods are Apex'i, some stuff some of you may have never seen, the SPT stuff is just OEM billet SPT stuff out of the machine, but the intake is awesome, as are the other components. Hallman Evolution RX Ceramic MBC worked out fresh, with the knob in the coinbox, lit with matched LEDs. on an aside, this car is heading to HIN with some support from a few good guys... I will be linking this thread to you when the pics are worthy of the help you all have given me. the car has only aircraft to compete with anymore . The intercooler spray rail is disconnected, as it is about 30 degrees here in this picture. Ordinarily, there would be some Samco bits there, as the hose can get quite hot, ruining the cold water feed. The Samco stuff is insulated, so the water feed is about 34 degrees in any temperature due to capillary cooling action through the 5 meters of hose through the cabin. Subaru OEM water pumps are no joke! If you are thinking of an intercooler spray system, do it. You get 17% overall better intercooler efficiency on a clean WRX IC, as long as the fins are straight and there is no calcium buildup on the y-pipe. Samco kit here too... recommended. Opened the box... it's a ZN502A/AS. I don't know what to say... I emailed the seller who turned into a very defensive and angry person. It took from December 4th until December 31 to get it to Maine from Ontario, Canada. When it arrived, it was the wrong item. I am at a loss... The system is adequate, but not the system advertised. I am either getting a refund and a Clifford 590 or keeping it and getting a partial refund, which I'll probably blow on a Sparco steering wheel or something.

Zenesis 602
Anyone can help in installing this alarm system. There isn't much info on how to online so I am guessing only ppl who have it can comment and say as it is not a very popular product in this region although it is acclaimed to be one of the best in other places
