Rubber Intake Connectors
Does anyone here know where I can get those rubber connectors that connect the intake to the turbo/throttle body/air filter/etc? My rubber connector split at the track the other week and I got tons of duct tape on it keeping it together.
I tried to go to Home Depot or other hardware stores to adapt their rubber cupplings to the intake but they are either too big or too small. They have 3", 2" and smaller sizes. Nothing in between. I need something in the range of 2.75-2.5" in size. Can anyone tell me what other type of stores I may be able to get these rubber cuppling type connectors at? Look at this picture. The piece I need is the piece that connects the intake to the throttle body. Thanks! |

Use silicon connectors. There's a place in Spokane that sells them, the number is on my website... which is down until Friday.
You could also call turbonetics, they have them and will have them to you by next week. www.turboneticsinc.com That's where I bought all of mine at. Chad 93 1.8T |

Kevin - the TB is 2.75" I bet your intake is 2.5. You can get a 2.75-2.5 reducer coupling from Turbonetics http://www.turbocharged.com
If the intake is 2.75 also, then you can just get a straight piece of 2.75 silicone boost hose from Turbonetics or http://www.bakerprecision.com The wait time will be a while, though, because Subaru is just about the only manufacturer who is using 2.75 in anything. |

2.75??? Maybe that's why my 3" to 2" reducer is so loose.
Now with the SAAB intercooler though, I really need a 2.25" to 2.75." Chad 93 1.8T |

A quote from my site,
<<For those wishing to save a few $$, you can get the silicone fittings in many colors direct from the manufacturer in Spokane WA. The company is BelAir Composites: Belair Composites 3715 Longfellow SPOKANE WA 99217 (509) 482-0442 There's a good chance this is the company that supplies Turbonetics. I know they supply Greddy, Majestic Turbo, HKS and many others. Cool guys to work with, prices a lot better than retail. Joel >> Chad 93 1.8T http://208.129.213.117/subachad/turbo_build_up.htm |

Yeah, go with belair for silicon, if you want rubber (a ton cheaper and easier to work with) try mcmaster.com there is a lot of navigating the site to do, but less than half the price of silicon, and just as good in my opinion, but not as pretty in color.

Kevin I have a stock XT6 MAF to TB hose if you want it. $10+shipping. I got it with my motor and my setup can't use it. I'll check to make sure it has no splits or other damage if you are interested.
