AWD gas tank removal and installation guide

my gas tank got punctured and I need to replace it this weekend does anyone have a guide on how to remove and replace the gas tank? I've heard that the rear differential needs to be removed and someone else mentioned the axels and suspension. I have a 2002 Subaru WRX Impreza. Any pics and any guides or links would be greatly appreciated. Thanx!

tbh there is not always a guide, you can use the factory service manual, which is found for free online via a good goole search to give you the rough idea of how to fix it. Most liekly you will have to just figure it out.

Does anyone know if the fuel tank on the 06 wrx is metal or plastic ? I have a hole in mine and I am wondering if I can weld it.

A quick check with a magnet would let you know if it's steel. Failing that, a continuity tester would tell you if it's aluminum (or steel of course).
