![]() Hi, need some help. My wiper would normally (unnormally) smack the a pillar when they worked "fine", but we recently had a heavy snow storm in NY and for the first time ever I forgot to put them up while overnight. So when I started the car the morning I forgot I had them on and something snapped and they wouldn't move. I took it to a mechanic and the guy supposedly"fixed" it which lasted for about a week or so before I heard something snapped again and they came loose. So I checked underneath and the links that hold it together came loose so I re-attach them, one wipe and came loose again. I took it to another mechanic on Christmas Eve day and without looking at it he assumed the wiper tranny is gone so I need a new one.
If anyone had this issue before and how did they fix it?

![]() I would replace the entire linkage. OEM pricing is around $130.
https://www.fastwrx.com/products/sub...mpreza-wrx-sti You can replace the individual linkage bushings with a help! kit but it seems hit or miss if it will hold. It is also a close enough and not an exact fit. https://www.googleadservices.com/pag...gQIERBH&adurl= https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=...cnzs9X1KI4uqDd |
