![]() Hi All,
I'm having an issue with our 2016 STI's VDC system and I'm looking for some advice. For the past little while we have been having an issue with our VDC system. Occasionally while driving the car will go into a VDC fault and throw the hill assist, Traction Control, Blind Spot and DCCD "off" warning lights and messages in the center gauge screen to consult manual. This will happen randomly while driving, it's not related to braking or turning it will just happen out of nowhere.. it will also sometimes go away on it's own and won't always be present at the next start up. The car drives fine and I do not notice anything wrong with it. We have owned the car since new and it has never been modified. Other than a Radio software upgrade this is the first issue that we ever have with the car. I have now been to the dealership twice. While they have been great and I cannot fault their service the issue has yet to be fixed. On the First visit they adjusted the Brake Light Switch. I was told that the car was getting a signal that I was hitting both the brakes and the gas pedal at the same time and it was because the brake switch was out of adjustment. The faults returned on the drive home. On the 2nd Visit a brand new brake light switch was installed. The faults returned while the Tech performed an extended road test on the next day so they kept the car. The new brake switch tested good. They pulled the codes again(dtc 1532) and consulted with the Dealer Tech line and determined that the VDCM module (27596va020) was at fault. They kept the car an extra week while they obtained the part and fixed the vehicle. Although it seemed fine when I left the dealership that day, in the evening on my drive back from work all the error lights came back. So to recap so far we've adjusted the brake switch, replaced the brake switch and installed a brand new VDCM module. The car is scheduled to return to the dealership next week. I'm just worried I'll run out of warranty before they fix the issue. Any idea what else we could look into at this point? Thanks

https://www.freeadvice.com/legal/wha...ranty-expires/ If you notified the manufacturer of the problem before the warranty expired, and they attempted and failed to fix it, then you may be able to request that the claim be fulfilled. |
