![]() Well I have looked around and information is all over scattered in pieces. Everyone have their own way of doing Horn and Signal on Aftermarket Steering wheel and Hub. This is In My Opinion is the easiest and SAFEST hookup of Horn and Auto Turn Signal Canceling on my 2005 STI. Products Used: 1. NRG-F009 Steering Wheel 2. NRG SRK-250B Black QUICK RELEASE Kit Generation 2.5 3. NRG SRK-100H Short Hub Here we go. Horn Hookup: All you need is 1 feet of 8 Gauge Wire and some zip ties. You will find a Screw right under the steering column. You will use that screw to hold the Red wire (brush) in place and also use couple Zip ties to set it in proper location. When Hub is installed red wire have to be touching the Copper Ring in the back of the Hub. You will connect GREEN/RED wire to your 8Gauge red wire that is touching the Hub. If in doubt test this green/red wire by touching ground (metal steering column) - Your horn will signal with your ignition OFF. Everything else is pretty straight forward. Here is some pictures. ![]() ![]() Auto Turn Signal Canceling: You Will REUSE the center insert of your Clock spring. You can take it out by prying off four tabs that holds whole Clock Spring together. The Turn Canceling piece is little too large in diameter so you will have to wrap inside of the NRG hub with electrical tape. Use about 10-15 full turns and check periodically how the Canceling piece fits. Once it fits snug I used a little bit of 3M trim adhesive glue to make sure the piece stays in place and put some tape over it. Take a note from the picture how it goes onto the hub. Now Install your Hub, Quick Release and Wheel and ENJOY the Luxury of HORN and Auto Canceling Turn Signals. (and just forget about Cruise Control) ![]() ![]()

![]() You need racing seats and two five point harness and and something to tie
them to then you will just have a different safety setup. I plan on asking for a steering wheel setup for Christmas. |

![]() what is the green/red wire you are talking about that goes to the other end of the red 8 gauge wire? is it found inside the steering column? or did it come with your "package"

![]() It wouldn't be much higher boost just good enough to get threw some of my
gears to help the drive train. Good point though. On your old wheel you touched on you had some trouble seeing your cluster is this wheel any better? Reason I ask is, I have a auto meter dual cluster pods. |
