Default Mild tune by by John at Precision Tuning

Just wanted to share my Dyno Experience!!!

Ive been reading all this hype by John at Precision Tuning and I got to say this Guy lives up to it...

While buying some part for my wagon, I was told several times to take the car to Precision to have it tuned by John...

As a newbee I didn't listen and got my car tuned locally just so I can at lease drive the wagon... after a few weeks I decided not to pay my Rent and go to Precision and finally see what the hype was about!!! and man all I can say they really took good care of me...

John found some irregularity on the map that I was currently using. So he did what he does best and WOW!!! after my Wagon came off that DYNO I was shocked.

John Really did a great job and tuned her to where I wanted... I was looking to go aggressive but I really can't afford a broken Tranny so he did a MILD tune were I can really enjoy the power that was gain without breaking anything...

Again Thanks to the GUYS at PRECISION Tuning: John, Melo, and the other guy with the Blue WRX (sorry I forgot your name LOL)

Below DYNO run, DYNO results, and a few pix.

sorry for not posting modds
VF34
Sti pink injectors
STi TMIC
Walbro Fp
STI up
invidia DP and CB

Per Jonh the Wagon had a lot more to go... right now am only boosting at 16 Psi... he could have gotten 18 but like I said I really don't want to break anything so I was ok with the results.. I will be going back when I get new injectors and ACT clutch etc..

a bit more power wont be nearly as hard on your tranny as an upgraded clutch will be. the best thing you can do for your stock tranny is never run anything but a stock clutch with it.

A bit more power can leave me without a stock Clutch...

well i think it would be fine up to at least 300 ft lbs, but you're right... there's no real single solution to making a lot more power on the stock 5 speed. if you dont need a clutch i wouldnt worry about doing it any time soon though, you should be fine.
smart man for not feeling the need to push things to the limits. although you might be a little overcautious, its better than being overboard in the other direction...

LOL..
thanks
The truth is that I really can afford breaking her... this is my Daily Driver...
But I will taker her back in a few months and see if I will take the risk and push her to the 300 WHP mark... but for now to much money spent on her so I need to take it easy for now...
chk the video

Definitely was good meeting you today. Also glad we figured out your boost issue right off the bat. I forgot to tell you how pretty your car was in person, you definitely take good care of it. We will be seeing you soon. Enjoy your car man!

the stock clutch is better than most people think. i'm running a 20g on an RA gearbox with a stock clutch and it's just fine. i don't expect it to last forever, but at vf34 power levels, you are in no danger.

as long as you are happy, that's the important thing, though

hustle up and turn up the wick! and dont worry about the clutch unless it sucks already. mine 03 had 65k miles on the stock clutch, an 18g for 20k of them, and lots of launches. needless to say it was totally ripped apart by that point, but it held 300whp very nicely...

awesome, glad you are happy with the tune. Pic is huge, but the curves look great. Very practical powerband.

Guys he was at only 80% duty cycle on the injectos... so you ALL are right, there is more to go. But I will not just push a car if the customer can not pay to play. He bought this car used, albeit perfect condition....you never know. I left alot on the table...we could have hit very near/over 300 with 19lbs and 20 - 23 deg at the post boost taper.

I told the customer, we are at the point where he needs to make a decision...If I begin to push past the 275WTQ...the tranny is at the 'designed' threashold, and things can fail. I AGREE MANY PEOPLE ARE WAAAAY PAST THIS. He chose...wisely IMO... to wait to go further until he could afford to replace parts should they fail. I also told him if he wanted to push the EXISTING tune further after driving for a few days...I would...at no cost to him.

Enjoy the wagon, it was a pleasure to work on, and it was very nice to meet you. Thank you very much for the kind words in the post.

Wrinkle- if you still need injector help, let me know.... I colpmletely forgot to PM you back.

Nice... very nice. Look on the bright side, it will be an opportunity to build the engine.
