![]() I hope to finish assembling my Perrin 3076 .82 kit for my 05 STI in time for my tuning appointment at DBperformance (MN) on the 28th. I'll have all PnP/ceramic coat from throttle body to turbo, 07 STI blues modded to 1000cc and 92 and E85 tunes (Cobb AP). Grimmspeed did an awesome job with the turbo, we didn't expect there to be much that could be done, but it turned out really nice.
Mods: Perrin GT3076R .82, PnP/Ceramic coated by Grimmspeed Tial 44mm external WG Perrin up pipe, PnP touch up/coated by Grimmspeed Perrin 3" downpipe APS 3" catback (catless) Grimmspeed PnP/ceramic coated headers w/high flow X-pipe Perrin stealth FMIC PnP/coated throttle body by Mycues1982 PnP/coated 07 STI intake manifold by Mycues1982 PnP/coated 07 STI TGV deletes by Mycues1982 Grimmspeed 8mm phenolic spacers modded 07 STI blue injectors (1000cc) Perrin top feed fuel rails Walbro 255 w/20amp BAP (for E85) AEM Truboost EBC/Solenoid -to be protuned at dbptuning.com on 92 & E85 Anyone have predictions? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

![]() http://www.camtuning.com/forums/view...php?f=31&t=771 ![]() About your car, What is your elevation? I don't think a 1000cc injectors are enough at sea level, if I was you I will get the Bosch 1000cc injectors (they can be push to 1600cc ![]() ![]() |

![]() Nothing special on the elevation...typical midwest united states. We're gonna see how the duty cyles look w/the E85 and work with the fuel pressure as much as we can. I guess we'll find out what the limiting factor is.

![]() Haha, no kidding me too. I came home to 4 boxes on my doorstep today and there's plenty more coming. I have a lot of work to do, I'll put up some pictures of progress and definately the dyno graph when it's all said and done.

My buddies turbo S2000 put down 515whp at DB and drives perfect and Shane tunes for NO detonation and uses det cans to listen for it. You might not be able brag about the highest numbers because DB's dyno reads pretty conservative, but you can be confident you have the most power and a safe tune. ![]() Juks the OP is using DB for a tune not me, I tune my own car with Romraider... I am just getting a few pulls on the dyno if I go to DB, no tuning...

![]() Well, end of night 1:
![]() This is gonna take some time... Anyone out there with a rotated kit ever use an ixizconcepts air/oil separator? Where did you put it? I don't think I want this thing sitting on my turbo (literally), not to mention I'm pretty sure the perrin fmic plumbing needs the space they want to put it in. Any ideas? |

![]() Run some ID Bosch 1000's with an 044 pump at around 100 psi to start with..
Your going to make ridiculous torque.. -Jerod I see you have injectors - you might as well throw your 255 away and pick up something that will flow at a higher psi as your going to need 70-80+ psi static to keep the fire lit.... I'm at mid 300's on stock fuel pressure and ID 1000's and 80-85% idc (32*F and 500ft asl) GL |

![]() I forgot to mention nice project guy, nice to see more local people throwing on sick setups... I would put that air/oil separator right against the passenger side firwall right above the cruise control, I am putting my catch can where the Air conditioning condenser used to sit before I ripped it out...

![]() I was talking to Brad at DB Performance and he suggested a boost a pump for the walbro. I dug around and haven't found anyone using a boost a pump on a walbro. Anyone know if a walbro 255 with a 20 amp BAP will push enough fuel pressure through 1000cc injectors to feed a 3076 on E85? Will this set up require an aftermarket fuel pressure regulator or will the stock one hold up?

![]() Hi Matt, awesome thread!
I've been told 20% fuel flow increase with the B.A.P. Just take the remote controller off and twist the two wires together; that will drive your fuel pump with 18.5Volts as soon as the boost triggered switch sees enough boost... I would be very weary of bumping up the fuel pressure higher and higher to try and get the injectors to flow more. First of all doubling the fuel pressure doesn't even come near to doubling the fuel flow, and secondly, somewhere between 80 - 110PSI or so the solenoid in the fuel injector will simply seize up and the injector will not open. If you find that your injectors are not flowing enough, give John from the Fuel Injector Connection (Google it) a call; he will take your injectors, ultrasonically clean them, flow test them, and then enlarge them to flow however much you want. That is how I am meeting my engine's fuel flow requirements ![]() |

![]() Nice pick, same exact kit here, sept on 91 oct and C-16 maps, great #'s for a Great TURBO, 35's aren't my thing for road racing, that & my stock engine can only handle this much IMO, stock clutch the whole time too, at 42k now, had the kit on for 25k miles, good luck buddy

![]() The bosch I.D. injectors (740cc, 1000cc) can run 100 psi pressure all day every day for 100,000 miles... If I bump my base pressure from 43.5 up to 70psi they will flow about 1200cc should be perfect for E85....I think Juks and I will surprise some people with the E85...Oh I would get a aftermarket fpr if you wanna use that boost a pump to its potential...I have the Aeromotive and it works great with E85
