![]() Yea, the skirts look amazing quality! Love them.
BTW, any thoughts on plastidipping them to retain the nice plastic look? Or maybe some kind of plastic wipes to keep them maintained and looking good? I know and have seen older plastic lips get dull and almost look a faded grey/white.

![]() I cannot justify paying 300 for just a front lip when i can get the whole set for 500 bucks from htautos. sure its aftermarket but how bad can it be on fitment? do you think it is $800 worth of bad fitment?

![]() Anyone will find justification in their own ways. Justification to buy or not. I found mine to buy obviously. LOL! I don't have deep pockets but I figured that I will not be getting involved in any power modds anytime soon. So I ordered me some OEM lips as well as brand new base STI wheels.
The HT Auto look great and seems that many are very happy with the quality. I myself do not like corners of the front and the end of the side splitter where the rear quarter panel is. But that's all personal preference. |

![]() I've had my lip installed a couple summer months and it looks as good as the day I put it on. Only time will tell, I would say plasti dipping it would be unnecessary. I had to go this route with a lip that was on my old car.. It was a replica if that means anything haha

![]() Compliments to you good sir. Clean install and even better instruction with photos. I think this lip kills HTs especially since it goes up on the sides. Nice Job

![]() I ordered my oem front lip on 7/17/14 and just delivered today 8/27/14. Too bad my appointment at dealer for install is on 9/15/14. Another two week wait.

![]() How much they charging you for the install? My dealer quoted me $300 for the install. I laughed, put the car on rhino ramps and the rest is history. It's not a difficult install and def not worth the $300 extra bucks.

![]() Nice write up NBRX. If i've learned anything in my suby modding history its that genuine parts are almost always worth the extra coin...especially body parts. Had a bad experience with a replica lip for my 06. Looks to be an awfully easy install with the hole drilling guides from subaru!

Got a late tracking number for my STI wheels that I ordered from Heuberger Subaru as well. They are out for delivery today so I guess I'll be slapping on all of my STI aesthetics sometime this weekend! ![]() I still can't figure out what I want to do with the rear. I'm not totally sold on the HT Auto and STI kits. Hopefully HT Auto will come out with a nice diffuser! |

![]() I just finished installing my rears to complete my entire kit yesterday. I ordered the sides and rears back in May to receive them over the last 2 weeks. Overall the install is really easy if you have patience and the right tools. Definitely follow the factory install guides on Subaru's site for installing for drilling the holes always 3mm->6mm->9.5mm. Also be careful, especially on the sides use a 5mm depth on all bits as it's pretty easy to continue going right through the top of the skirt leaving a visible hole.

![]() I did my install today on the front. It took me longer than I thought. The 3mm, 6mm, and 9.5mm seems to be the ideal way. 9.5mm was a tad bit too small. So I had to slowly drill a bit bigger holes in order for the studs to fit. Idk if they are called studs but they are black rubber pieces that u screw into.

I don't know if that would of been ideal to do. You want it to be a snug fit and the plugs are rubber. I just squeezed them together and worked them in. -NBRX |

![]() Ure right. I really couldn't get it through though. Now that I'm thinking, I am going to the hardware store and probably going to get a few better fasteners. The stock fasteners don't expand or stretch. It's seems a little uneasy to me that under extreme down force those rubber plugs might give.

![]() Damn, I hope you find what you need to get it more snug.
My lip is rock solid. Doesn't budge at all, I knew the 3/8 standard bit would make the hole slightly smaller then the 9.5mm but by squeezing the plug and working it in the hole at a angle at first it made every thing solid. I feel guilty, maybe I should update the instructions so people know to squeeze and twist the plugs in.its only ever so slightly smaller then the 9.5mm and the plugs will fit just fine.It just takes a little elbow grease. |

![]() Yea I used a 3/8. No worries folks, got it to work. Its snug. I was very careful when widening the holes. It was only a few of them, not all. Maybe because of the crappy drill bit I had. Wasnt clean. But everythings mounted including my skirts.
Thanks everyone. |
