NBRX: I saw you installed your lip with the car on rhino ramps (or equivalent). Is there any clearance issue with the lip installed and using the ramps? Just want to make sure they don't rub on the way up/down or if you'd need race ramps to clear the lip. As always, great write up!

To answer, I had clearance issues. It scrapes very lightly on one spot on both sides. Maybe not enough to really do any damage, but it does touch. I used Rhino Ramps to drill. Then I parked it on my driveway which is sloped and installed it.

Ya, check out step 8 of the write up. There's a *note* in red where I address this. I threw some boards behind the tires in order to get off the ramps without scraping.

Thanks, happy a lot of people are getting good use out of the write up lately.

I still think it's worth every penny. Bayson R has a replica out that looks pretty damn good. But you can't beat OEM quality imo.

do It!

I'm trying to get an oil change and pick up the lip Saturday. Have to see if they can fit me in for the oil change.

I think I want to go with the HTAuto sides and rear spats.I'm not a fan of of the Subaru versions.

If anyone wants to hook me up *wink wink* I would be proud to have some HTAUTO on my car.

I just installed the full underbody kit this last Saturday. The instructions call for securing these screws at: 1.0+/-0.5Nm (0.8+/-0.3lb-ft) torque. I don't have a torque wrench that does that small of a force so I just hand tightened all of them and then uses a socket wrench and did about 10 quarter turns with the wrench to snug them up a little tighter. But they never bottomed out.

For those of you that have done this install, how tight did you guys tighten yours? I don't want the screws to back out while driving. Maybe I need to invest in a smaller micrometer torque wrench that reads in in-lbs instead. Let me know...

Thanks!

Car looks fantastic man.

I just went hand tight to the point I felt was tight and safe.Ive checked the screws a couple time since I've had it installed and they haven't backed out or become looser by any means. Thanks for posting that extra info.

Not sure what the bayson r looks like in person. The oem sti lip there's no need, quality is consistent and smooth.

Most ppl who I've seen with the bayson r have installed it unpainted and it looks fine.

I don't understand the step up in sizes of the drill bits. Why can we not just go ahead with a 9mm drill if the end result is a 9mm hole? Also, for the 5mm distance, if I were to go deeper than that, wouldn't everything will Beth same? I have no instructions in the box and am making sure I understand fully prior to doing this install.
