Cutting the bracket out leaves a hole so you have to fiberglass it. It must flex a little so i'm assuming bondo would just crack.

the lamp looks rotated. It's really only the wiring holding you from turning them, they may be notched (keyed fit), can't remember tho...but that can be modified.

I would go back on the HID's tho...not for the beam pattern...for the fact that the lamp is so SMALL...and likely won't like any prolonged exposure to heat

I cant find a hot link of that 'who gives a *' jack-off smiley. Theyre very bright (55w 2300k) and focused just as the halogen bulbs were. Im thinking of going back to halogen and roof mounting the HID in some Hella DE driving light projectors integrated into my roof rack fairing though.

1: I ground down the notch.
2: The wiring will move in and out of the grommet to allow you to make all your connections inside the lens.
3: I use them so little that im not worried about the lens and body overheating- the grille would melt before the body ever would. The plastic may get brittle after like a decade though (insert jack-off smiley again)

Thanks! And on the Hellas im step ahead of that thought; had the same thought. I modded the lens holding bracket and shaved off the glass nub so I could turn them upright. PITA.

Also, I used a banjo style fitting on the one end where it looks like you did a straight connection to the slave cylinder.
I actually just installed it this weekend. That line was too rigid and long so I went with a line about 1.5' long and spiral wound. You did fine with 8"?? Did you go from master to original hard line or straight to the slave?
I was also going to do a mod thread on this. Maybe we could collaborate and have 'millers way' and 'd moneys' way on the same. PM or add to your original post on that idea.

I pulled my spare and jack for two reason.

1. I wanted to lose some weight (just over 30 lbs)
2. My winter wheels are a different diameter than the spare. So using it could be potentially damaging to my diffs.

BUT, I wanted it to look OEM as much as possible without putting too much time and effort into it.

The "holder is made of 1" sheets of Styrofoam glued together covered in black felt. Everything is held tightly in place. I recently did a lapping day on a snow covered track that was heavily rutted and nothing moved or made any noise.

The "Safety Spair" is made by Slime. The green goo is safe for aluminum rims and is water soluble. Its not like the aerosol stuff that is harsh on rims and hard to wash off the inside of the tire. Apparently it is good for punctures up to a quarter of an inch. It is useless against tire/rim separations. If that's the case, I'll probably need a flatbed anyway. To repair a leak, you pour the goo in the tire, roll the wheel so the stuff coats the inside of the tire then pump it up using the 12V air compressor. The Spec C and Corvette use a similar setup so its nothing new.

It will still support any cargo weight I put in the hatch also.

Thanks for looking.

I am down for that. I had to custom order the 8" line as the fitting shop I went to had a minimum of a 10" pre-made -3AN high pressure line. Do you have pics of what yours looks like? For mine, the parts I ended up using cost only $32.00 and connects the master cylinder directly to the slave cylinder.

Parts needed:
Banjo fitting to -3AN
8" -3AN high pressure line (two -3AN straight fittings on each end)
2 crush washers
M10x1.0 to -3AN fitting

and that's it! It looks 100x better then any aftermarket clutch line out there too. It also deletes all that garbage that is unneccesary and gives you a straight connection between the two.

It's one thing if you're quoting a single pic from a previous page, but when it's the post directly above the comment ... that's just gonna wear out my scroll wheel.

Just type "^ That looks great!" and we know what you mean.

I added that rule on the first post already. It will never really work, too many poeple dont read.

Sometimes you need to quote photos to help with clarity of your post. I usually just quote one photo out of the group just to help people know what im talking about.

I am with you though. It can get annoying to scroll past 15 photos over and over again.

I bet I could have read all of NASIOC if it werent for all the scrolling through people quoting a million pictures right below the post their commenting on where its only some 'motivational statement' or something like "That is really clean! Looks great, and it looks OEM! Great job!".
I bet their servers would breathe so much better too.

STI_G: Im jealous, I didnt know the 'storage floor' was all one big 'flap' on the newb Imprezas. I wonder if I could order the big 'flap' you have to replace all my separate little 'flaps'

Oh relax!! When people post a comment, I want to see the picture they're referring to even if I've already seen it. Is it really that difficult to use your mouse and just scroll past pix you've already seen...?

Except its the bane of this forum. Its bad for bandwidth, which adds to forum cost, which jacks up prices for our vendors, which jacks up our parts prices in a small way. And yes IMO it is a PITA when your scrolling through pages and pages of it. I miss a lotve info scrolling through "DAAMNNNNN THATS SICK BRO" with 4 pictures quoted to it. You get to scrolling so much you skip actual pertinent stuff.
Now what SHOULD be done for a thread like this is "PICTURES ONLY; NO REPLYS/COMMENTS/QUOTES: DIY Modification Thread"

No big deal...but modified the tank to work with the trunk cage...originally the filler cap gets in the way of the cage.
