OBVIOUSLY it fits since it's on his car. other members use Muteki as an inexpensive alternative to the factory acorn lug nuts. usually these types of lug nuts will fit UNLESS the manufactures specifically say you need a special type of lug nut.

I get that but on the sites selling those lugs they state that they are not for factory use, which is why I'm skeptical. |

That category would probably be the stock 16s but they may even fit those too. Check amazon or a RELIABLE vendor for fitment |

i thought so. it's probably how the lug nut holes are made within the wheel that determines if it'll work or not. Muteki taper like any tuner lug style lug nuts out there and as long as the widest point fits within the wheel lug area.

Seems to fit just fine. I always hand tighten before I lower the car, then torque to spec. Never had a problem with them coming loose or anything.

InFek, you have the JDM rain guards, correct?
If so could you post up a somewhat close up pic of them? |

My newest piece of artwork to add to the house. I love having access to a large scale printer! Printed on canvas with an aluminum frame

Actually I have checked with vendors on here. One told me no aftermarket lugs would fit and the other told me mutekis would. Which is why I am still so confused lol.... |

Honestly I'm not surprised at that. Sales is just about money nowadays and usually lacks real information. Unless that particular person and or company has real world experience with it.

I think it comes down to stud length. The light weight lugs need a higher thread count so ARP extended studs might be required. Reliance on a few threads to hold a wheel on is like running on three lug nuts, not smart

This doesn't apply to the bugeye thread per se, but this is one of the only threads I even subscribe to. We're all family here.. So I need thoughts on this as to why...
A year ago, I got a repair order for my aftermarket exhaust, I fixed it. Had it looked at and signed, ad went on my way. Two weeks ago, I swapped from stock exhaust to a different aftermarket exhaust, and today I got pulled over again for it. Only this time there's no repair order. But an order for court because the officer said that I am basically spitting it back into the face of the other officer who issued over a year ago. So Im curious why... Why do I have to go to court now? What can they do differently? Last edited by 03Rextacy; 06-29-2013 at 12:30 PM. |
