So are you saying that the front track on the sedan is wider that that of the wagon?

Um, they are both WRX's dude. Same engine, same tranny. Jsut slightly different suspension set ups.
Overall i dont think 1 inch, and 100 pounds will make that much of a difference. Although the higher hight of the wagon may add some top heavyness. But like i said in another thread, it doesnt really matter, cause even then you can smoke a Civic Si in a grocery getter. |

i'm not sure if that 1" does or doesn't include the mandatory roof rails on the wagon. I wish they'd at least make those things optional; where does it say that all wagons have to have freakin roof racks?

I am not entirely sure of the NA car but in the rest of the world the sedan has aluminum front suspension arms and the WRX wagon doesn't.

Mel, thats an interesting bit of info.
I think the only way to really figure it all out will be to go to the dealer, and go over the car with a fine tooth comb once they get them in. |

Mel - SOA's WRX site references the aluminum control arms for the sedan. It's a done deal.
FYI - The latest issue of EVO states that the wagon feels better balanced than the sedan. The theory is that the extra weight in the rear evens the F/R ratio. |

can anyone that went to Detroit verify the swingarms on the sedan and wagon? are the sedan's swingarms aluminum? what about the wagon's swingarms?
i can only find info on 'front wide track' on Subaru's webpage. there is no info on the swingarms themselves. -olaf |
