Default JDM STi 05 Cluster swap ??'s

Yes I Searched and couldn't find an answer.

This is a 05 JDM STi cluster going in to a 05 WRX

The problem i have is there is this damn annoying steady ear piercing tone after everything is hooked up.

the tach reads right, but i can't get out on the road to see if the speedo tracks because of that noise.

the Rear diff temp light is also on. I think that they are related somehow.

anyone got any ideas?

Rear diff temp light will always be on because the WRX does not have a sensor for it. I don't know why people are getting that noise after the install. It might have to do with the fact the cluster is a JDM one vs the USDM one. I had no issues putting a USDM STi cluster into my 05 WRX.

That's what happens when JDM smarts > Banzai smarts.

No idea since I haven't seen or heard that problem in person. If anyone has the schematics to the JDM cluster you can compare it to the USDM one.
