Default Trans and diff fluid swap what do ya'll have

I getting to the point that I feel I need to change the trans and rear diff fluid, I heard the trans fluid from the factory it like water...scary. Well I was woundering what you local guys have in your ride, and what do you think I should use. I was thinking of finally using Mobil 1 senthitic 10w30 for the summer and 75W90 for the trans and diff, but man should I go synthetic? I need some advice. I heard Nick had a real bad time with Redline.
Thanks

First, I have a WRX...so hopefully you find this useful
Second, I waited until 22K before I swapped my fluid

Third, I got the Redline stuff. 75W90NS for the gear box and 75W90 for the rear diff.

3 quarts for the gear box and 1 quart for the diff.

What I thought: OMG world of difference. So much smoother than the factory stuff. And I could actually get into first gear while moving without grinding.

HIGHLY recommended if you haven't done it.

doesn't the owners manual say 3.7 for the gear box? or did I over fill mine? checked ok when I looked at the levels though.
