Your boss dude seems like a decent fella.
He's a good guy. First time I met him was at my interview. We talked shop for 5 minutes and then 30 about cars.

He's got a 400+ RWHP Lightning.

Eh, the car doesn't look sporty enough for anyone not 'in-the-know' to even recognize it as a tard-mobile. Unless of course, you dipped your lug nuts to match your sticker bombed roof rack.

Green filter = COBB filter except COBB is blue. COBB was marginally cheaper.

Where did you find the Cobb filter for sale on its own? All I can find is it with the intake.

Some of the Viper guys were no better. I saw an ACR Viper with airbrushed snakes on both sides of the hood that looked like it was done at a carnival. The car was littered with decals and the guy was wearing a shirt he had made with a picture of his car on it. On one hand, good for him for attaining his dream car and enjoying it. On the other hand, he's "that guy" with the Viper hat and a shirt with his car on it and a gaudy, ruined Viper.

I'd like the stock anthracite wheels they get in the UK but other than that and some 3M type paint protection film, it will be stock for the foreseeable future.

Actually I tell a lie. I want some 17's and snow tires.

Agreed. Wheels, revoknuckle, and some interior electronics are different. Its about 90% of what they get over there which is 110% of anything we've had here in this sector.

ST across the pond doesn't get a Revoknuckle but they do get the anthracite wheels, headlight squirters and tow hooks (still puzzled by the lack of them on the USDM ST)

I just want lowering springs, wheels and maybe a COBB AP2. I don't want a louder car for my daily commute (electronic exhaust cut out would be nice) nor do I want to mod it too much.

Tow hooks (the tie-downs on the underside of the frame) are known to set off airbags when a moron tries to drive across a curb at 40mph. "U.S. Americans" like to sue when this happens.

I'm just guessing this is the reason... at least, that's the reason there was a recall to cut them off of Subarus in the 90s.

Ford gave me the big f u they told me that the tail lights in the bumper supposed to be that way it's within the factory tolerances. For the motor mount Ford's official response is that the klunking noise is normal for the car.

'This clunk noise is due to the motor mounts bottoming out when shifted at high RPM. There is no updated mount and the noise is considered characteristic of the vehicle. The noise may also occur if traction breaks loose and wheel hop is induced. No actions or repairs should be taken to eliminate the noise."*

Buy the Powerflex insert for ~$35. Spend an hour under your car. Problem solved.

OT Doesn't Subaru blah blah blah

If I were to trade my WRX on a Focus ST, would I be happy? I haven't even driven one yet, but I think I'd like to give it a shot. I don't really want to waste my time or the dealer's time if it's not something I'd like.

What concerns me is the AWD vs FWD, as I drive my car all over the place in the winter time.

Did anyone else make this transition? Thoughts?
