Just recently my subaru went up underneath a truck. Loads of front end damage obviously along with a destroyed radiator and my beloved hella horns. I'm wondering of a decent body shop to take it to. Does anyone have any good experiences with body shops in the Austin/Pflugerville area?

Really? Totalled? How does it look totalled? I have yet to have insurance look at it. They are in the process. To me its only cosmetic. I dont know what else could be possibly wrong other than the radiator. I really hope my coilovers werent damaged as well..

I've brought back plenty of totaled cars. Just at first glance, it doesn't look totaled to me. If insurance totals it, take the check, but tell them you want to keep the car, and fix what is broken. Use the money left over to have a small body shop paint it.

The best in town is Berli's. However, I'm not sure he works on anything other than hi-line cars any more.

Looks way worse than it actually is I think. No airbags deployed on him, should just be a new radiator and hood.

From a visual perspective, I see hood, bumper, front fender and likely on both sides, radiator, likely to have ****ed some of the mounts in there up and have to replace those and headlights (although the passenger side one looks fine).

As with any collision, there are always possible other issues that could have happened. That radiator being pushed back and down could always cause some issues that are hard to find unless you pull it out and inspect.

I'd say, given it's not an 08+, it's entirely possible this car will get totaled. Maybe it won't. I could see it going either way. Which is why I asked.

True stuff, but OP is my Brother in law so I am going off first hand info. Hopefully its not totaled though, the thing still feels brand new, its amazing.

I decided to go with B&B body and paint. My insurance recomended them to me plus the agent I spoke with had a good experience with them. I wanted to be safe and stick with whatever was on the list of body shops my insurance company collaborates with. Excellence body and paint did you look promising but unfortunately wasnt on that list.

Thanks everyone for your help!

Here's what I see....

Support beams are trashed, grill busted, all those plastic bits and bumper beam are trashed, bumper cover trashed, front subframes and possibly fender rails are trashed, hood is trashed, radiator and hoses, possible engine damage from impact, get a new timing belt because it likely jumped teeth if car was running, underhood will need paint, body will need paint, misc braces in front clip... and that's assuming the bottom side and headlights are untouched. Easily a few grand in repairs.
