While im currently saving for a new wheel setup, the other day i came across a deal on an 08 STi top mount that i couldnt pass up. Im going to need an sti tmic when i upgrade my turbo, so i picked it up to start my part stash. The guy i bought it from threw in an SPT heat shield and Kartboy shift knob for free as well.

The sti tmic is huge compared to my little stock one

I'm jealous of the color. WRC Blue is a classic and is one of my favorites. It looks great, keep it up.

Well i did a thing yesterday....
Decided to switch it up and start getting her ready for a new look in the spring, so i swapped my sti trunk for a factory wingless trunk with a shaved keyhole. Originally i was going to just buy a wingless trunk, but the fact that this one was shaved, made the decision to swap easier

Default Chris Pedersen's Bugeye Thread

Got a set of 05-07 STi rear fender flares off a part out for $30. At that price, it was a no brainer, regardless of one being broken . I gave the broken one to my buddy who is fixing it at the body shop he works at, and then ill get it painted. Ill be buying an 05-07 sti rear bumper as well, so the flares dont look out of place with a stock bugeye bumper.
The parts for this winter build/transformation are starting to pile up. I dont even have the big stuff yet, but im already getting excited.

Update: my friend sent me pics of the flare he repaired for me

Update #2: flares are back from paint with a fresh coat of wrb on each one. Now i just need to find the rear bumper...

Also got a con10der custom diffuser from a friend, so that will be going on as well

Havent decided 100% on wheels yet. Originally i was going to do an 18x9.5 +38, but lately ive really been liking the Cosmis MR7s which are 18x9 +25. I would run them with a 255/35 tire

looks good man. i think new wheels will really set your car off, especially now with the wingless trunk.

Thanks man. Yeah wheels/coilovers were the original plan, since the tires on my current wheels are shot (currently using some 2015 wrx tires until its time to switch to my winter wheels). Im saving up for the wheels/tires now so ill be buying them over the winter, once ive decided what wheels i want.

Default Chris Pedersen's Bugeye Thread

So this weekend, i went to the junkyard to get bumper brackets off an 06 impreza that i will need when i get my 05-07 sti rear bumper. While i was there, i found an 05 impreza wagon. Between the two cars, i was able to get every part i needed for an 05-07 center console conversion for around $30. Im really happy with how it turned out, and the best part is that i now have 2 functional, full size cup holders! (02-04 owners understand what i mean)

The original console

After tearing everything out

Conversion completed!

I also finally picked up the first big part of my new setup for the spring in the form of BC BR coilovers.

Man you are getting everything done that is on my list! Diffuser, 05-07 center console (can't wait to have 2 cup holders lol), and coilovers. I feel like I need to catch up! I have the 05-07 rear bumper and fender flares, but I feel like I need to install some nice wheels first.

yeah wheels are the next big thing, just need to save up some more money. Goal is to have everything done by boxerfest so i can finally put it in the show, which shouldn't be an issue

Figured I'd post a little update. I got my coilovers installed a few weeks ago and went down to OC for H2oi two weeks ago, and then went to Panda Junction this past weekend. Got a few photos from H2oi, but not all of them are edited.

H2oi

Panda Junction.
I bought a set of Visual Autowerks rear window vents from a friend who is parting out his STi. You can kind of see them in the above picture.

I also had the opportunity to shoot a video with a guy in one of the local car clubs out near me. Im pretty happy with how it turned out.

Looks much better with less wheel gap. I like that video too, especially when the little kid was running in the front yard after your car lol.

Default Chris Pedersen's Bugeye Thread

Figure id post a little update.

This past weekend, i drove 3 hours to New Jersey to pick up an 06 STi rear bumper, which was the final piece i needed for the 05-07 STi rear conversion.

Exciting, I just installed mine a couple weeks ago. Make sure you switch out this bracket....

This was the only thing I didn't know about. Everything else is straight forward.
