Question EM only to fix '04 WRX det / CL->OL fueling issue?

Hi all.
I've got an '04 WRX 5MT wagon and was wondering if there's a tuner that makes a reflash that only fixes the detonation problem & CL->OL fueling delay that is "somewhat" inexpensive? (less than about $300)

I don't really need all of the other EM features that COBB AP & EcuTeK & stuff have. I just want these issues fixed and since Subaru doesn't look like they'll fix it anytime soon I was just wondering if such a thing existed.

Thanks a bunch.

A used ECU is a lot cheaper than $300... And you still have the stocker to put back if you sell.

OK...but I'd still need it to be reprogrammed to fix those issues.

Not if the ECU you buy is a 2002-2003 ECU.

An ecu for less than 300$? where !?!

and I'm not sure an 03/02 ecu will operate properly in an 05. . . .

there are reflashers out there, do some searching and calling. . .search for ECUtek.

Junkyard. Online junkyard. For sale forum. They go for $200 tops. In another thread, a guy confirmed running an 05 with an 02 ECU. I have seen several 04s. This is WRX. The 05 STI has the immobilizer, and no PITA 2 second delay.
