I still have my fingers crossed for the 23rd! I've been checking this everyday for updates so I don't have to reschedule my appointment

I've had to reschedule my appointments 2 times now, very eager to have it installed and tuned. I sent them a message asking for a ship date. They said Dec 14 ( #18 on the list).

I'd advise you to do the same, so you can make sure you can make your appointment or reschedule if needed.

I PMed them yesterday regarding something else and also asked them if they were actually going to ship Monday. I was told they're looking at the 3rd week of December now.

EDIT: Don't know if that means they'll start shipping then, or if that's when they think mine will ship.

We're baby stepping our way through this process to get all the details right the first time. We're also at the mercy of the casting house on end tanks. When I tell you dates, it's based on the information we're given. If there were a way to go faster we'd be doing it.

Not that it really matters, everything here isn't going onto the car for a few months.
The waiting game stinks. I've been on the other end of it as well.

Nothing exciting to report. They will be trickling out until we get the large production batch from the casting house due in the first week of December

Once we get all the pieces actually here, we can give very firm dates.

As an enthusiast myself, and been in these shoes a few times before... The best advice I can give is to schedule the tune after you have the parts in hand. Most tuners out there are not backlogged more than a few weeks.

They ship as they were invoiced and paid.

Newbie question and I'm sure its answered here or somewhere, but is there a huge benefit to ordering one with the chargepipe? I imagine there is, but I see most companies offer their intercoolers w/o the option of running the stock chargepipe.

The stock charge pipe is very restrictive. The general shape and the corrugated sections impede flow. I think it was in the prl charge pipe thread, but when they went from stock to the prl charge pipe, they gained something like 1.5-2 psi at the manifold.

Thanks for the update KillerB. I'm definitely excited and can't wait to get this badboy on.
Please don't mistake my lack of patience for rudeness, lol. I was just a little bummed that I couldn't install it when I was visiting a friend out of town who lives right next to a very recommended tuner. Super convenient.
I'm ok waiting for product if that's the price of top notch quality control.

Waiting patiently....
Killer B,
Can you show us where about you trimmed the engine cover to make it fit?

I would like do it right the first time since the cover cost about $125. I want to keep it so that crud doesn't get all over my accessories. Cutting hard plastic can be a real pain.

So sorry for the delay on this. The pics have been here for a month I just never got around to it :/

So the first thing you want to do is lay the cover upside-down. On the back (meaning the side closest to the back of the car) there is a lip with webs on it. Cut the webs.

Once the webs are cut you just push on this lip and it will snap right off.

Here it is completely removed. After it was off I trimmed the webs down further, because OCD.

Besides this the 'fingers' along the front edge need to be trimmed 1/4" (no pic). This can be done with some heavy duty scissors, snips or a utility knife and some care.

No problem. It's not hard at all. I'm super slow and have only done it once. If it took 10 minutes from the time it came off the car to back on, I'd be surprised
