I bought an EvoIII 16g from another member here. It had 6,000 miles on it, and had some axial shaft play. That's not a good sign. Furthermore, trying to get ahold of a tech at FP isn't the easiest thing in the world. So I decided that I wasn't sending the turbo back to FP to get fixed. I tried calling Jerry at Deadbolt, but he is pretty busy. So I emailed him. He seems like a nice guy, and was quick to answer my questions, but unfortunately they don't accept credit cards after some ordeal with their processing company. My next step was to call Blouch. It happened to be about 5 minutes until they closed shop for the day, and Mike himself answered. He patiently answered all my questions, and didn't rush me at all. I decided right then and there that Blouch was getting my business.

So off went the turbo, along with a note. I got a message from Mike while I was in class, saying he had my turbo apart and that I should call him back. I called him back and he explained what went wrong with the turbo, and that it wasn't in fact a true EvoIII wheel. Apparently it doesn't have the right blade thickness, and is some knockoff copy of a Mitsubishi EvoIII wheel. Futhermore, the damaged coolant line I asked him to look at wasn't the correct line. Apparently FP uses some cheaper coolant feed/return lines, which caused the return line to rub on something(probably the tranny), and it was nearly worn through. Mike said he'd replace my coolant lines, install a new cartridge with a true EvoIII wheel, and have the turbo done in 1-2 business days. My turbo will back back in my possession less than two weeks from the date I shipped it off to Blouch, and it's going to be better than ever for about the same price FP wanted to charge for a new center cartridge.

In summary, I'm more than satisfied with Blouch. They always have at least a receptionist to pick up the phone. They've answered every one of my questions. And finally, I'm glad I didn't send the turbo back to FP. Thanks to Mike, it will have the coolant lines and compressor wheel that it should've had in the first place.

No c.c. orders? Why do they even answer the phone? Do they only accept cash or money order? That sure is shady no matter what the excuse. I would never do business with a company that doesn't accept c.c.'s. Good for Deadbolt, the customer will not have any c.c. protection if the order is screwed up.

I retract my statement if he accepts paypal.

I have ordered a **** ton of blouch turbos for my customers. Ive installed them and tuned the cars and have yet to have a problem with any of them!

I will be running their turbo's on my personal cars aswell.

Blouch ROCKS!

I ordered my EvoIII 16G with porting and thermal coat on Tuesday, had it two days later on Thusday. Even came with new UP/DP gaskets -- the good, multi-layer metal kind.

Install and tune in 3 days. Should be fun.

Another positive for blouch here!

The turbo I received had came with gaskets that had been bent-up in shipping.

Blouch shipped me a new set no questions asked, and even included a SWEET Bluch Turbo baseball cap (easily worth $20 if you found one like it at the mall - or $25+ at a speed shop!

The turbo I bought from Blouch (DOM III 2.4/8cm) is a damn monster! It BARELY squeezes into the factory spot, but it does fit!

I want to give a thumb up for Blouch. I ordered a 18G and STI return line not knowing any better that my Forester use WRX return line with round banjo bolt fittings on both end. Got on the phone and they sent the fitting to me at no charge while my car is in the shop. Mike said he'll ship it UPS 3 days, but the item got here quickly because he use 2 days shipping instead from the east coast, now that's great customer service.

Been looking to upgrade my turbo. Blouch doesn't feel like responding to e-mail inquiries when I am looking to buy a turbo, so I can only imagine they are even harder to get a response from when their turbos fail.

3 emails sent to [email protected] on three consecutive Mondays. 0 responses.

Customer service fail.

My Dom 4.0R had a cracked hotside and when I called them, Mike picked up the phone and told me what I needed to do. Turbo is on its way to Blouch with an upgrade to XTR !

Really the best way to get ahold of us is by phone. This is old school, but we like to hear direct from out customers. Sometime emails get missed or caught by our over aggresive spam filter, Please give us a call if your still interested in a turbo. (717)865-3276

bump for a positive Blouch customer service experience. Recently destroyed a turbo (through no fault of the turbo itself) and Mike was willing to work with me and made sure I got what I needed within my racing budget, and much faster than I expected.

I know this forum is not as popular as years past but I still want to give Blouch a shout-out for their great customer service. I had a small request of them and they responded promptly and I already received it in the mail. I come to find out that they actually sell what I requested so they helped me out without pointing me to their sale website. I can't say the same for another vendor I contacted.

Blouch has a FB but I didn't find where I could post and shout them out there. Anyways, thanks again to Blouch and, specifically, Kim over at customer service.
