Default Forester Suspension with '08 Impreza?

I recently bought a 2008 Impreza Wagon 2.5i. I'm wanting to put a lift on it because it's too low to be practical for me. I was looking into using Forester suspension parts to do it, and I'm finding over and over that '07 Imprezas are compatible with '08 Foresters, but I'm seeing nothing about what's compatible with the '08 Impreza.

It looks like maybe '09 is, but the tophats have a different bolt pattern. If that's the case, what can I do about it? Or is there a truly compatible Forester model?

On top of strut assemblies, will I need control arms, sway bars, or anything else from the Forester and what are those compatibilities?

Has anyone done this and have anything to say about it? If so please post pictures if possible!

Pictures of Imprezas lifted using spacers and advice on that are also more than welcome! I'm trying to make sure whatever I choose doesn't look ridiculous as this will be both my daily driver and my adventure champ.

You just need to get lift spacers from Subtle Solutions.

or trade it on a Forester

Having done a lift kit, on my '02, and the time and effort into it. Figuring out longer axles and dealing with alignments, wish I would have left it stock and traded it. Trying to sell it now, everyone wants it for $3 and back on stock suspension.
